The Confederations Cup is on! While it promises to be one of the most interesting Confederations Cup ever, the opening match between Brazil and Japan was a disappointment. Brazil did just what they had to do to defeat a poor Japanese side 3-0. While the Japanese were indeed a huge disappointment one did not have the feeling that Brazil was feeling comfortable.

FIFA have confirmed the cities that will his next year's Confederations Cup in Brazil.
Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador will all host games in the tournament that runs between 15th and 30th June 2013.
This is the first time that six cities will be used in one country for the competition.

The dates have been announced for the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil. The opener will take place on June 15th at 4pm local time in the Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha in Brasília. Brazil's first game will be on June 19th in Fortaleza at the Castelão. They then move on to Salvador and the Fonte Nova on the 22nd – both games will be at 4 pm.

FIFA have finally confirmed the venues, dates and kick-off times for the World Cup in Brazil in 2014 & Confederations Cup in 2013.
The World Cup will run from 12th June to 13th July. The opener is set for Corinthians new stadium in Itaquera, São Paulo, which may not be ready until February 2014.

FIFA have named the five cities and stadiums that will host the Confederations Cup in Brazil in 2013. They are: Rio de Janeiro (Maracanã), Belo Horizonte (Mineirão), Porto Alegre (Beira-Rio), Brasília (Estádio Nacional) and Salvador (Fonte Nova).

All five venues are currently undergoing reconstruction in time for the World Cup in 2014.
