Wenger likes Barca Bond Arsene Wenger believes it's a compliment that Barcelona goes after our Arsenal players, despite the fact that the Gunners are becoming known as a feeder club for the "best team in the world". The Frenchman has lost several stars to the Spanish club in recent times. Barcelona have bought Arsenal midfielders, [.
Playing in the rain. That was a fun game when we're younger, or could still be if you're young
now. Or not, if your parents are overly protective of you and thinks a every drop of rain on you
would kill one cell in your body. Playing football in the rain is especially fun when you're in a
hot climate and that is your once in a blue moon fix for a little cold weather.
I don't know where to begin. I was so positive about this summer and the coming season. I wrote
a post on here "Van Persie, Van Mystery"- in which I admitted the fears, but espoused the hopes of
the fateful meeting between Arsène, Gazidis, and van Persie..I now notice how I naturally refer
to each.

Arsenal defender Andre Santos has admitted that there continues to be uncertainty regarding the
future of in-form captain Robin van Persie but believes that the entire Gunners community is firmly
pushing for the Dutchman to remain at the club.
The recent signings of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud inevitably led to suggestions that the
Gunners are rolling out their contingency plan to prepare for van Persie's impending departure.
It seems that Chris Hughton and Alan Pardew are part of a mutual admiration society. James Perch in

to compliment Chris, on the great building job he did at Newcastle,  before Alan took over
the reigns about eighteen months [.
Depending on which report you read this morning, Ajax captain Jan Vertonghen is either set to
sign for Spurs or he is poised to move up the Seven Sister Road and join someone else.
The Guardian's story is typical of the reports claiming that the Belgian is on his way to White
Hart Lane with a £9m fee agreed between Daniel Levy and Ajax financial director Jerome Slop.
No need for that! Jesus, just take the damn compliment
Oh Robin, with your salt and pepper-flecked temples and your eyes; dark, wild and darting, like
two endless pools of Castrol sump oil. Your left foot: cultured and versatile.
It appears us Pompey fans have upset Mr Chainrai and he no longer wants to own our club. In an
spate of dummy spitting of some awe-inspiring magnitude on Wednesday he withdrew his bid to be our
'reluctant saviour' for a third time. Firing a tirade of self-exposing blame-shifting Mr Chainrai
has taken up Portpin's bid and walked.

The Chicago Fire have added some punch to their attack, signing a Designated Player from Europe
that is joining the club after spending the last three seasons in Belgium.
The Fire announced Tuesday that they signed Dutch forward Sherjill MacDonald from Belgian Pro
League side Germinal Beerschot AC.
The U.S. Men's National Team will play a World Cup qualifier at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park for the
first time when it hosts Guatemala on October 16 in the final match of Semifinal Round qualifying
for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the U.S. Soccer Federation announced on Monday. Kickoff is set for
6:00 p.
In today's installment of the Couch Captain we take a look at the Revs 1-0 loss to San Jose, and
the coaching decisions made by Head Coach Jay Heaps throughout the match. Without his full
compliment of players at his disposal, did Coach Heaps' have his hand played for him? Or were there
places he maybe could have done a little better?
To be honest with you, even though AVB wasn't my first choice (Laurent Blanc was), the optimism in
me has started swelling up. Something's telling me that we'll be pushing on further with Andre
Villas-Boas as head coach.
Look, I loved Harry Redknapp. I really did. He did a fantastic job for us when he came in so let's
give the guy credit.
Roy Keane pays Gary Neville a compliment - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Roy Keane was a team-mate and captain to Gary Neville for many years at Manchester United at the
same time that Ferguson brought Keane to Old Trafford, the young crop of players that included Gary
Neville were making their mark in the youth team.
Name: Stephane Guivarc'h In his 1990s prime for: Newcastle United Lowdown: A footballer that
deserves his place in this column despite only ever making four Premier League appearances, and in
no way is that a compliment. The striker regularly features in lists of the worst Premier League
players in history.
Roberto Martinez insists it is a 'compliment' to be linked with bigger jobs after the Wigan
Athletic manager was mooted as a candidate to take charge at Liverpool.
The Wigan boss masterminded a stunning closing few weeks of the season as victories over several of
the Premier League's leading clubs ensured top-flight survival.
Kenny Palmer gives THFC1882 his match report on Tottenham Hotspur's great display

A headed brace by Emmanuel Adebayor and an excellent side footed opener by Rafael Van Der Vaart
helped Spurs back to winning ways with a victory against Brendan Rodgers impressive Swansea.
Spain won Euro 2012 and, in doing so, proved that they are just too good. Winning a historic
three major tournaments in a row (Euro 2008, World Cup 2010 and Euro 12) is probably enough to
prove that statement alone, but the way they've done is what obliterates any stubborn arguments to
the contrary.
An XI of the best from the group stages, because we feel like it. If there's any
player you think we've missed out, it's because he's on your list. Or, alternatively, you can tell

We're as surprised as you are.
Iker Casillas: He's a goalkeeper, and he's played quite well, which is arguably
enough to warrant a place in the side.
This morning I was woken up by a cat, who decided that Mrs Tom's head was the ideal location for
him to sit until it was breakfast time. This isn't terribly unusual he quite often decides the best
time to be at his most friendly is when you're at your most docile (i.e. asleep). What was unusual
was the fact that he was quite so noisy about it miaow this, and miaow that.
Danish striker Mads Junker reportedly on trial with #Revs
The recently (temporarily) undead MLS Rumors tweeted earlier this evening that the Danish
striker was on trial with the Revs. While we tend to take reports from this source with a grain of
salt, the article linked above (in Danish) does quote Junker as saying he is trialing with the team
this week, and this would seem to fall in line with tweets from Kyle McCarthy earlier today about a
mysterious trialist at training today.
It may not have been perfect, but Lionard Pajoy sure answered his critics.
Pajoy scored two goals Sunday against the New York Red Bulls, just days after netting in a
friendly against Schalke 04. He ranked first in the league's MLS Castrol Index for the week. He put
more shots on goal in one game Sunday (4) than he had in his first eight MLS matches combined
(3).
I can't sing the praises of this team's Saturday night performance enough. I would never have
expected the Revs to just shake off an early Vancouver goal like it was nothing, answer
immediately, and then pile on 3 more for the win. If you had told me that last year, I would have
laughed in your face.
Below are some of the responses that I received on Twitter and in the comments of my post on the
opening arguments on the question of whether Sporting KC fans are becoming cocky and over confident
in the team. Seems a lot of people believe I am overreacting in ways, but there were quite a few
that have agreed with me that there are fans that are starting to get over confident in the team.
Why your smart device can't get WiFi in the home team's stadium - Jon Brodkin, ArsTechnica
This featured article gets into the nitty gritty of WiFi and Cellular connections at sports
stadiums around the country. Stadiums are working to keep cell phones online and WiFi available,
but they might not be able to keep up with the demand.
Despite what some people on some local radio stations may think, Kansas City has their biggest game
since the 2004 MLS Cup on Wednesday when they play the Seattle Sounders in the US Open Cup final.
Before that though, Kansas City has a league game tomorrow against the New England Revolution. This
is the third and final meeting between the two teams with Kansas City leading the series so far
this year with a 1-0-1 with a +3 goal difference from the home opener.
John (right) and I had a good time. Rarely do I write many articles that I would consider
"personal" as I try to keep the site as professional and impersonal as possible. Typically, I try
to avoid posts that would make this "just a blog". Tonight though, I offer a blog entry and invite
comments.
As I look to expand my soccer resume and make myself a more attractive hire in the soccer market,
I'm making a serious effort to learn more of the ins and outs of the professional game.

The Jaguars need Tebow to save the franchise. They have to pull the strings, like the Redskins did
to get RGIII. They can't be like the Browns and lose out to a higher bidder.
The Redskins are different in that they don't need RGIII to save its franchise, rather, to save it
from only another poor season.
