Shelvey increpa a Ferguson al entrar al túnel de... by rrmisas 1. After all the pre-match diplomatic work to ensure Manchester United didn't burst into their 'Always the victims, it's never your fault' chant, perhaps Jonjo Shelvey shouldn't have followed his two-footed lunge by pointing at Sir Alex Ferguson and saying: "That's your fault!
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes made a shock return to Manchester United's midfield eight
months after his retirement in yesterday's FA Cup clash with Manchester City. OTP decided to run
the rule over Scholes' second debut with the aid of the Performa Sports iPad sports analysis app.
So here's a statistical look at Scholes' influence [.
Apologies if this is redundant, but I wanted to share some visuals to back up Rich's previous
post.
Dembele's dashboard is below:
For those wondering, the 'X' is a tackle, the hexagons are take-ons. Orange is successful,
purple is unsuccessful. And as we can see, he had many successful tackles and take-ons all over the
pitch; all while posting a 96% passing completion rate.

After every match this season, the staff here at The Bent Musket will be putting together player
ratings. Ratings are on a 1-10 scale, with 5 representing a thoroughly average performance, and 6 a
decent/capable showing. The final ratings will be averages of individual ratings from Steve Stoehr,
Corey Major, Matty Jollie, and Abram Chamberlain.

After each match the contributors to New England Soccer Today will rate the performances of
the New England Revolution players who made an appearance on a 1 to 10 scale (1 horrendous, 5
average, 10 perfection).
There's an incredible amount of ways you can break down a match like Saturday night's 2-2 draw
with Houston, but we're going to take emotion out of it and stick solely to the numbers in this
column!
Without getting overly analytical, the stats from Saturday night actually mirror the physical
nature of the match quite well, and while the match ended on level terms, it was plain to see in
sheer numbers how much Houston dominated the flow of the game.
France vs Sweden
Matchday 3 Group D
Olympic Stadium | 21:45
Philippe Mexes, along with Adil Rami and Ben
Arfa, enjoyed a leisurely stroll during France's training session in Kiev yesterday.
Technically, Laurent Blanc's squad are allowed to have a little bit of a laugh
about the Swedes including Ikea's infamous meatballs and terrible furniture- but there's just too
much to play for tonight!
Thanks a lot to everyone who's been following this site and leaving comments. We
English-speaking France supporters must stick together. The "World Cup Blog" server has been going
down often, so we'll have to give that some thought.
While France drew their first match, Ukraine won theirs, so they're top of the table, and have
home-field advantage.
It's been awhile since I trawled through the Guardian chalkboards for interesting items. I know, we
all missed it.
I remain convinced that Liverpool changed tact in midfield during the interval. The key seemed to
be Spearing, more willing to stay in his own half and shield the defense rather than pressing
higher up the pitch and leaving gaps.
In the upcoming gamethread will be a bunch of data that we put out about player matchups,
tactical keys to the game and statistics. Sometimes for home games these get missed by our readers
with tickets to the game. So for today we're going to test a little presentation of that so that
you can get read to watch the Seattle Sounders host the LA Galaxy.
Que dulce! Valencia kept to their promise to the fans last night and
held Barca to a 1-1 draw with a 27th minute screamer from Jonas. Part of the promise was to play
their best and not lose in front of the home fans, so this result is significantly better than a
loss.
It is said that revenge is a dish best served cold. Â If temperature is a guide to the revenge
due then Blackburn are going to get roasted.
Our game at Ewood was a seriously depressing affair and one of the low points of this (and any)
season. To concede 4 goals from 3 Blackburn shots and to lose from being 2 up after 20 mins was
desperate for fans just recovering from the MU mauling.

Against Wolves, Jordan Henderson only misplaced four of his passes from open play for a
completion rate topping 90%. He may not have connected on any of his seven attempted crosses, which
does rather drag down his overall numbers, but it is nonetheless an impressive statistic. As for
how he achieved such a high completion rate, the answer is a fairly simple one: He kept it
simple.
Like the child whose parents have surreptitiously removed their much-loved comfort blanket in
the night, we woke this morning missing the precious consolation of a game in hand, and soon
discovered that we can manage perfectly well without it. For some it provided a welcome safety net,
for others the promise of future delights.
The chant ‘Urbs in Horto Magico' is a favorite among the Fire fan base. Its powerful words and
upbeat tempo help make it a consistent selection from the organized chaos of the capo stand at
Toyota Park. Opposing fans have likely heard Urbs in Horto Magico from the Fire faithful too. As
the last line declares, "For the Fire we will travel anywhere".
African All-Stars: 7 Players to watch at Africa Cup of Nations 2012 is a post from: Just

"I think it is a responsibility for every proper club in Europe to go to the Africa Cup of
Nations to see what the market brings and what hidden talents are running around in Africa,"
Hoffenheim scout Lutz Pfannenstiel told the BBC on the eve of the African Cup of Nations 2012.
