Manchester United have been the league champions for 3 consecutive years now. They are trying to
win a record fourth one but considering the current state of defense, I am worried. If we see the
performance of United this season, they have managed to win 12 matches out of 14 in all
competitions. That might sound good but one has to look at each of those victories with a
microscope.

DC United have just announced the formal resignation of head coach Tom Soehn
from the organization. Soehn accumulated a respectable 36-30-24 MLS record, with a total of
55-48-31 in all competitions. So what cost him? Disappointing results in the face of high
expectations.

It was just announced that Cesc Fabregas edged out Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba as the PFA
Player of the Month for the month of October.
Ultimately, of course, such awards are pretty meaningless, and Cesc would probably be the first
to say so. But it is nice that his superb play all month was recognized, as he was consistently
pulling the strings for a club which was undefeated on the month.

Former DC United Coach Tom Soehn
Earlier this morning came the news that DC United coach Tom Soehn would not seek to extend his
current contract with the team. Set to expire at the end of this year, Soehn will instead leave the
club he has been a part of for the past six seasons – three years as an assistant and three as
the head coach.

Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has warned the Premier League's top teams not to write off Liverpool in
the title race.
The Reds are nine points behind league leaders Chelsea after losing 3-1 at Craven Cottage on

"If I was Manchester United or Arsenal or Chelsea I don't think I would be writing them off,"

For some reason, it feels like Denmark has been one of the world's best footballing teams since the
dawn of time. The truth of the matter is they've only ever reached three World Cups (two of them
being as recent as 1998 and 2002) while their first (in 1986) was where they finally achieved any
real prominence on the global stage.
