The next United Nights is taking place on Friday, February 10th, the day before Liverpool.
Mickey Thomas and Sammy Mcllroy will be joining David May at Walkabout bar in Manchester in the
upstairs private function room for the event.
Sammy was the last youth player Sir Matt Busby signed for United when he moved from Belfast as a
15-year-old.
Manchester United inflicted the heaviest defeat in Arsene Wenger's reign as Arsenal boss when they
smashed the hapless Gunners 8-2 at Old Trafford. 8-2?! Now, be assured this is not a printing error
and that April Fools Day is a long way away. In what was perhaps the Premier League's most
eye-opening result since its [.
It has been revealed this morning that the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will once again have his
scouts at the Reebok Stadium tonight to watch their young Southampton left-back Luke Shaw in action
in the Youth Cup against Bolton. Shaw is not legally allowed to sign professional terms with anyone
until July when he reaches [.
Vincent Kompany has spiced up Saturday's Manchester City's FA Cup clash with Manchester United by
asking fans on twitter to write his pre-match speech. The City captain launched the competition on
his new Twitter account, @vincentkompany, on Monday ahead of Manchester City's blockbuster FA Cup
3rd Round clash with Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium [.
Arseblog has teamed up with Icons.com to offer you this fantastic prize a signed shirt by
Arsenal's goal machine skipper Robin van Persie.
It comes with the Icons Certificate of Authenticity which gives details of the signing, the date
and location of the signing and, in the vast majority of cases, also an image of the player signing
the product.
Morning all. Have you ever wandered across these humble pages and thought 'Y'know what, this is an
alright website and all that but what I'd really like to see is the chance to win some free stuff -
a competition, perhaps'? You have! Well, that's frighteningly convenient as The Boys From White
Hart Lane has joined forces with the wonderfully creative gang at Philosophy Football and guess
what?
Morning. I'll do my best to squeeze out some Europa themed brain dribbles later in the day
(sorry if that sounded facetious- I'm actually quite looking forward to it) but first news from our
old pals at Philosophy Football. You may remember these sartorial whizzes- amongst other
iconic football t-shirts- as the ones behind those rather delightful Danny Blanchflower numbers I
was seen to be pedalling on here a few months back.
Wayne Rooney has brought out a DVD which shows every goal he has scored for United up until our
8-2 win over Arsenal this season.
To win a copy of "Rooney Goal Machine" simply post a YouTube link to your favourite
Rooney goal in the comments section below.
The DVD is now available from any good online retailer.
Be it a movie, an album or a new player, long awaited debuts often turn out to be not as good as
expected, leaving fans with a bittersweet taste in their mouths and a feeling of "It was good but
not as good as I thought," in their minds. At times though, debuts are stunning, [...]
We are spoiling you with competitions on RoM at the moment and the latest is a unique,
fan-driven project, Manchester United: Greatest Ever XI, which sets out to select a
definitive team of the greatest players ever to pull on the famous red shirt. A worldwide fan poll

the line-up that will be featured in this official club DVD collection.
I could write any old nonsense in this first bit, given the sheer sauciness of the
post's meat. What do you mean it's all nonsense anyway? Well. I am shocked. Shocked and
appalled. Okay, you've got a point. But if you can ignore that for a second and the rather
delicious prize we've got on offer, we'll first try and wade through some of the Hotspur related
news that might've unearthed itself over the last day or so.
Fancy yourself as the next Clive Tyldesley, Martin Tyler or John Motson? Weill listen up... The
England Football Team facebook page is giving you the opportunity to prove it via a new and unique
competition. Fans are invited to put their own commentary to Alan Shearer's goal against Portugal
at Wembley from 1998 with the [.

Andy Mitten has given RoM a copy of his new book, "United! United!", to give away to one of you
lot. Following the books he has written about United players in the 80′s and 90′s, Andy has now
spoken to a whole host of people associated with our club in the 70′s. Lou Macari, Martin Buchan
and Tommy Docherty are amongst the people who give an excellent insight to what went on behind the
scenes during that decade.
Did anyone else notice that Kevin Prince-Boateng scored a hat-trick for Milan at the weekend?
Hmm. That was an odd sentence. Equally puzzling were Harry Redknapp's claims that he'd definitely
take Carlos Tevez on loan in January, if such an opportunity were to arise. I bet you would,
sunbeam. The kicker for his current employers- and I'm sure they'll love this- is that they'd once
again be required to foot a substantial amount of the Argentinean's running costs.
In association with FootballFanCast, we've got our mits on a shirt signed by Bryan Robson. He's
signed his name across the 7 United top to create a priceless memento for one lucky winner.
To be in with a chance of winning it, all you need to do to enter is ‘like' FootballFancast on
Facebook.
On the morning that Marseille were seemingly willing to take him off Arsenal's hands, Wenger has
assured Marouane Chamakh that he has a future at the club. The past week has seen the Moroccan
linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Lille and former club Bordeaux and the addition to that list of
last week's Champions League opponents [.

its conception [.

The Estadio Monumental will be the scene for the 2011 Copa America Final between Uruguay and
Paraguay with both sides confident of bagging South America's top trophy. So where are Brazil and
where are Argentina? Of course, such questions will be typically wheeled out by neutrals,
especially given the fact that the pair have contested [.
Stone-Dri's story began in the 1940s when a family of four brothers from Salford began to
produced coats and costumes from 95 Broughton Lane, Salford, under the name of ‘Stone-Dri – The
Direct Rain Coat Company'.
They manufactured mainly with traditional shower proof fabrics such as, cotton gabardine,
poplin, terylene and wool gabardine.
In April, the BBC showed a drama called "United" which was based on the Busby Babes leading up
to the Munich Air Disaster.
This will be released on DVD on August 8th and RoM has got two copies of it to give away.
Question: How many league titles did the Busby Babes win before Munich?
I'm getting very close to my 10 year anniversary of coaching youth soccer, and I guess I'm
reaching that stage where I look back and think 'Oh my God what have I done!' when it comes to
those early years. Blessed with children born 8 years apart, I hope I've learned from my mistakes
coaching my eldest so I can do a better job coaching my youngest as well as all the other kids I
coach.
RoM has a copy of The Official Manchester United Diary Of The Season to give away.

relive United's latest title win, as well as every other success that went before it – going all
the way back to 1909.
GoneDigging's Manchester United football book is a tabloid-sized book featuring reprints of
original newspaper reports on United.
Frontman of Glasvegas, James Allan once played as a winger for Cowdenbeath, East Fife, Queen's
Park, Gretna, Stirling Albion and Dumbarton, making 105 appearances in the Scottish Football
League. He was part of the Cowdenbeath squad that won promotion as runners up in the 2000–01
Scottish Third Division.
Here's what you could've won...
I did start this morning off by trying to write a match report about the
weekend's visit of Blackpool. Then, after reading it back, I realised I wasn't writing a match
report at all, I was actually just carving expletives into the back of the living room door with a
steak knife.
RoM gave away two tickets to the Champions League semi-final to Mike Parkinson from Ashton under
Lyne.
The experience of going to watch United is the same every time. You get yourself to Stretford,
walk down the Warwick Road and enter Old Trafford to see the reds.
The good weather made it a warm balmy night so good for football.
Mike Parkinson from Ashton under Lyne correctly answered that Javier Hernandez is currently our
top scorer in this season's Champions League with 4 goals.
With tickets provided by Sony Ericsson, Mike is going with his brother on Wednesday night to
watch United take on Schalke in the Champions League 2nd leg.

I've had a chance to play the Heineken Star Player game and although I was pretty abysmal at
it, I thought it was a really good laugh. Proving to your mates that you've got the best
footballing brain whilst watching a live game, instead of just shouting abuse at them down the pub
seems more positive all around.
