I bet you one billion dollars* of cold, hard meat that you can't work out who Stadler and Waldorf from 'The Muppets' (how ironic) are impersonating in this picture... There's an extra prize if you can spot the little tyke that's hiding in the the picture - much like he seems to have been hiding in the past few days.

At the end of my last article of last season I said "I'm signing off for the summer but I'll be back in August. Enjoy the break and see you at Scunthorpe". At least one misguided, and of course anonymous message, seemed to think that this meant all the directors and staff were going on holiday [...]

Still lingering like a nuisance this Sunday, the "day after". This feeling I have today that something just isn't right with the team. Heads down, lack of inspiration through and through. Even the effort and hard work we saw earlier in the season just doesn't seem to be there. Players leaving the pitch in [.

After a break enforced by England's "need to fool the Red-Tops that they really do have a chance of being half-decent again", I belted it down to Fratton all-too-early on Saturday morning, tired but excited. So it cut deep when all that greeted me was a stale Reds performance and a man ringing a bell. A lot. As the team-sheets boomed over the 1970s PA system, a subtle yet positive change of spirit was detectable in the Pompey faithful (who, clichéd though it is, this spy can only confirm as one of the best in this fiery league of ours – even despite that bloody bell!

  • Dare I say it - this was our best away performance so far this season. I was happy with what I saw, bar the last few minutes.
  • That handball was a penalty. Not complaining, but in some ways this game reminded me of Arsenal's games against CSKA Moscow last season: one side dominated completely, had a lot of shots and yet were unable to score (although Arsenal were even more unlucky).

While I do have Norwegian roots, I am not talking a Scandinavian Viking. Here in the U.S. there is a myriad of sports to choose from. But American football is king as far as attendance, TV coverage and viewership. It seems to be the sport that U.S. fans show the most passion for. Here in [...]

There is something very wrong at Fulham Football Club

There's something about watching Fulham the last 6 games or so that seems as if they haven't a clue around the goal. We didn't have this problem early on in the year. We seemed to have purpose and the players were creating chances left and right. But with the new plan to tighten up the [...]
