What the A-League needs in Season 8.
1. We need 10 teams including Newcastle Jets.
2. We need two more players a la Kewell and Emerton to build the hype. Who? Only Tim Cahill could
spark the media if not the fans but he's a long way from coming home. Dwight Yorke not Robbie
Fowler?
Coming Home
I'm coming home
Tell the World I'm coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes
I'm coming home, I'm coming home
I don't want to say it was a mistake for Chris Rolfe to leave for Denmark but I like the other
words here.
szólj hozzá: Manchester 1-0 QPR
This has been a bad weekend for the men in charge of match proccedings. Today's edition of
bumbling officials featured Lee Mason and Ceri Richards conspiring to send QPR's Shaun Derry off
for a love tap on Ashley Young who fell on the pitch like he had been poleaxed.
Kenny Dalglish and the word "Luck" - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Liverpool fall to 9th league defeat of the season against another relegation threatened side
QPR. What's worst is that Liverpool led 2-0 with only 15 minutes to play and then blew it all away.
The Reds have now lost 4 of their last 5 league games and somehow manager Kenny Dalglish seem to
find his team not so fortunate all the time.
The English claim to have invented football... "Football's coming home" they sang in 1996... But
everyone knows Holland re-invented football in 1974 and we will take the victory back to Holland.
The sacred pitch of Wembley will be ours...
1. Inexperienced attackers
Mathijsen and Heitinga are laughing themselves silly for days.
Didier and Sala are coming home. Thank the lord almighty. More, after the jump:
Coming up empty
Well it's been a shit sandwich around these parts for the last month- crystallized by that
pathetic/shambolic performance we were witness to on Saturday. So forgive me for latching on to the
tiniest bit of hope, but I need this.
There's nothing like coming home! Just ask Lucas Leiva, who showed up to his
first day of recuperation at Liverpool's Melwood training ground yesterday after spending six weeks
back home in Brasil. The midfielder received a warm welcome from the club's staff and of course
teammates Dirk Kuyt and Pepe Reina were also around to show
their support.

Owl abuse in football is a serious issue. Only last year did we see a poor, defenseless hooter
kicked to death during a game by Deportivo Pereira defender Luis Moreno.
Moreno was fined and given community service in a zoo.
Another Monday morning and off to work for many faced with the negative banter that an Arsenal
defeat brings. But worse, not just any defeat the Spuds have turned us over, years of disingenuous
crowing at our North London neighbours is coming home to roost today. All that "I can't wait to get
to work" of previous years, doesn't work so well today does it?

Earlier this week, AS Roma teammates Baby Bojan and Jose Angel were involved in a minor fender
bender. Angel, who was behind the wheel at the time, hit a woman on a moped with his car near the
Eur area as the pair were coming home from practice.
Abby tallies in the 10th minute from the penalty spotThe U.S. WNT played its first match since the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup last night at the
fantastic LIVESTRONG Sporting Park (the best medium-sized stadium in the country? Could be....) and
while the Americans showed some flashes of dynamic soccer, there was also some rust to be shaken
off, and probably the best part of the night was the crowd.
CS Herediano is one of those strong teams with a poor recent history. They have 21 titles down
in Costa Rica, but their last was from the 1992/3 season. Entering this edition of the CONCACAF
Champions League by finishing 2nd Leo Gonzalez former club has a case of dualistic forms. In CCL
play they haven't won in three matches, with their only points coming from the Preliminary Round
drubbing (10-2 aggregate) against Alpha United of Guyana.

do you start when coming home around 2am? By going to bed? No, by opening my laptop and doing what

Harry's coming home, have you heard?
And he'll be here on Monday morning around 6am. Calm down.
With camp underway in Carson, Studio 90 is on the ground as the team prepares to face Costa Rica.
Jozy Altidore talked about his excitement at coming into a first camp under Jurgen Klinsmann and
both he and Robbie Rogers looked forward to the week ahead. Studio 90 also asked Rogers about
coming home to Southern California.
Andy Carroll spotted at Man City (sort of) plus could it soon be 'taxi for

Yet another big name arrives at Manchester City... (see pic above). Spotted by OffThePost.info,

diddy bongo baron David Sullivan, spotted this week in a chauffer-driven pounds 330,000 Rolls Royce
Phantom, with a West Ham nodding dog in the back window.

After a tiring, drawn-out saga, a contract has finally been signed, the dust is beginning to
settle, and the prodigal son is coming home. And no, I'm not actually talking about Cescgate.
That's right my friends, those of us living down under have had twice the transfer drama to keep
us on the edge of our seats this winter.
Ali Krieger - USWNT right back present and future.
Ali Krieger made the leap into the main steam eye after coolly slotting home the 5th and
decisive penalty in the infamous quarterfinal against Brazil. Having played most of her
professional career in Germany, she might have gone under the casual fans radar, but as a rock at
right back, Krieger has been a mainstay on the USWNT for the past year.
Many times on this site, I've bemoaned that fact that American internationals face hurdles to
return to MLS when their career in Europe has either stagnated or are failing to provide them with
growth opportunities. This year there has been a change for the better with players like Charlie
Davies, Benny Feilhaber, and Freddy Adu (!

CARSON, Calif. – Kasey Keller announced at the beginning of the season he was going to retire
at the end of the 2011 campaign, and as his farewell tour rolls on, the 41-year-old goalkeeper
could not be more relaxed about his situation as he continues to play at a high level while
experiencing new things.
GOLD CUP: Reason to worry for one-time favorite U.S. squad - originally posted on
Soccerlens.com
On the day of the U.S.' Gold Cup quarterfinal against Jamaica it's seems like ages since the
2010 World Cup. Despite a tough extra time elimination at the hands of Ghana, the U.S. soccer
program was riding high coming home from South Africa.
It's now less than two weeks until the 2011 Women's World Cup starts in Germany, and over the
next couple of weeks or so we'll be taking the time to bring you a quick run-down of all of the
teams that are taking part in this year's competition. FIFA had considered increasing the number of
teams entering this year's tournament to twenty-four, and then to twenty.
Nice clip. Props to the director for not going with the obvious soundtrack of Ozzy Osbourne's "Mama
I'm Coming Home." Because that's exactly what I would have done.
Before I begin, I'd just like to apologize about the like of a proper preview on tonight's game.
I had intended to do the usual question/answer deal, but my "informant" never responded in time.
It's quite a shame because Chivas USA is one of these teams that just sort of eludes me. Aside from
a couple key players, I'm not well knowledged in the team or its tactics.
Although the match itself was impressive, with a point coming home with the Portland boys, the
torrential downpour made the largest impact on the pitch, my camera, my rain gear and everything
under the rain gear. I think by the final whistle, I was no longer 60 percent water, and more like
95 percent.
Fußball's coming home Spurs fan Thomas Newman does what every football fan should do at least
once in their life; take in three football matches in three days in Germany....... FC Köln vs
Hannover 96 The idea was spawned one drunken night out that we should travel abroad to see how
football is done on the continent.
Molde and the homecoming of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a post from: Just Football
Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Despite being nigh on impossible for most non-Norwegian to pronounce, this
is most likely the most famous Norwegian name worldwide. And it may be the only Norwegian name
people from Ghana, China, Austria and Australia all know.
Back down to earth with not so much a bump, more like an avalanche. Wile. E. Coyote, maybe,
poised atop some improbably sheer mountain range, on the pinnacle of success, then his cunning plan
fails, inevitably. He doesn't just fall to earth. Rather, it's a slow descent, each painful moment
of impact freeze-framed with a resigned look to the camera.
Without giving too much away, the FA Cup match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City
from 2004 was one of the games of the season that year. For those of you who remember the game,
it's a great walk down memory lane. For those of you who don't know what happened, it's an
incredible match to watch and you'll see why when you watch the video.
United States international Clint Dempsey plans to end his career in the English Premier League and
has no intention of returning to Major League Soccer.
American fans had hoped that Dempsey, who has established himself as one of Fulham's best
performers in the EPL, would follow the example of Brian McBride, Kasey Keller and others by coming
home to play for a couple of years before retirement.

The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that Haverford School and FC Delco product Jeremiah White
has not been invited to travel with the Union for preseason training in Orlando.
"They basically called me 2 days before we were supposed to leave and said they don't have any
more roster spots," White told the Inquirer.
January 27, 2011 North American Soccer League (NASL) FC Edmonton EDMONTON, AB. It's been five
months since their last competitive match against Miami FC of the NASL, and even that was a
friendly. It's no wonder that the FC Edmonton coaching staff and players are champing at the bit to
get the 2011 [.
