Bumper edition of valuable pedantry I'll be straight with you, although I knew that it was FA Cup

two and two together and realised we would be treated to a bumper edition of a Comedy Column. So

The Georgian essayist William Hazlitt said that "poetry is all that is worth remembering in life".
No wonder then that LTLF members have been marking a memorable victory over Derby in poetic style

We're rolling (on the floor in agony) AC Milan forward Robinho picked up a comedy injury during his
side's victory over Al-Ahli in Dubai on Sunday. The Brazilian was chasing a lost cause out of play
(perhaps the most shocking fact of the entire incident) when he collided with a TV camera. He was
stretchered [.
The white stuff's coming down again, and I'm the only one around here who's not got a big thick
coat on, or a woolly bobble hat. This old green sweatshirt of mine has always kept me warm – and
now it's immortalised in bronze, it's better than ever [...]
I heard the news on Friday & could not believe it, REAL MADRID wanted to recoup RUUD VAN NISTELROOY
as their Number Nine for the rest of the season & thus be the substitute for Higuain. I frankly did
not have words or even motives to figure out this "surreal" manoeuvre from Real Madrid. Today with
some days of wondering I do have some personal comments that can only explain this comedy as very
SMS lolz We missed this on Friday, but although the Man Utd link has now gone it's still worth a
watch. The Beeb's Comedy department has ventured into exclusive online sports comedy. Long may it
last! Spotted on Pies
This may be karma for celebrating the 89th birthday of a football club a bit unnecessary.

Football goes all highbrow for a change Now let's face it, if you took the average footballer and
put him on Question Time, it would be akin to giving a chimpanzee an abacus and asking him to do
your tax return, although it would bring an often needed element of comedy to the show. Thankfully,

From the people who brought you a nil-nil draw with Millwall, Derby County Football Club are proud
to announce that the memorable local derby game with Nottingham Forest on 22 January 2011 will soon
be available for fans to watch over and over again on DVD [...]
Yes, we here at the Chelsea Offside have taken it upon ourselves to recommend a replacement for
now ex-Sky commentator Andy Gray...
He couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo...
Yes, let the Chris Kamara era begin!
The following videos are mere snippets from matches; imagine what comedy and insight the man
could provide with a mic on him for 90-plus minutes.
I remember the days when the Scots fellers in my Forest team would celebrate Burns Night. Haggis,
neeps and tatties. That's what they went on about all day long. Sometimes, I wished they'd get
together and write a book, and call it: ‘101 Things to do With a Dead Sheep'. Then maybe they'd
bloody well shut up about it [.
