7 games, 3 wins, 4 draws and 8 goals allowed. These were rookie Philadelphia Union goalkeeper
Zac MacMath's numbers after filling in for an injured Faryd Mondragon late in the 2011 season.
Pretty impressive for a twenty year old rookie backup goalkeeper who's only playing time before
Faryd Mondragon's injury was a second half start in a friendly against EPL squad, Everton.
Carthage Tigers, 2010 Class 3 Sectional winners

Head Coach Jacob Osborne deserves a lot of credit for creating the environment the Tigers needed
to re-establish the winning tradition at Carthage, with District titles the past three years.

Sweden went into the 2011 Women's World Cup as anything but favorites. We were thought of as
some kind of unknowns. We hadn't done well at the last Euros and given a string of recent results,
just advancing from the group stage would be a feat of its own. Plus we were in a group with two
supposedly strong teams: North Korea and the United States.

While not quite the famous USA 1 - Columbia 0 from 1994, this was a good win by the USA women and
showcased some spectacular goals. Special mention for Heather O'Reilly's screamer to open the
match. Well worth a few minutes of your time.
The bodies have been piling up in Germany the last two days as Canada was crushed by France 4-0
yesterday and Japan destroyed USA Southern Mexico by the same scoreline. With the USA playing
Columbia tomorrow, a team that copes with an aggressive cultural ignorance of its existence, we
could yet see another lopsided scoreline.

I think the Swedish team needs to bring back the team-wide braided pigtails they sported to a
third-place finish in 2003. They need the mojo.
They're scoreless against Columbia through the first half hour
30 - Rincon tries a free kick from way outside. Hmm. Colombia is scrappy, but they look exhausted
already in the heat.

Group C Preview
Group C is one of the toughest of the tournament, featuring two veteran (re: aging?) squads, a
mysterious team that even opposing coaches and players are struggling to get a read on, and a
young, hungry South American squad ready to turn heads.

Another nice day on the pitch ahead of us as temps started out in the low 70′s and aren't
supposed to exceed 79 later this afternoon. Slight cloud cover, it's pretty sweet compared to what
we've experienced in the past.
Springfield SC

Mikaela Branson, Ozark Tigers (2012)
There are three Districts encompassing the Ozark and Central Ozark Conference in Class 3. The
Sectional game on Tuesday May 24th will be hosted by the winner of District 12 while the District
10 winner would host the District 9 winner. This is based upon the Fall model where the Even
district number winner was host, a model used for the first time last season.

Luis Moreno has struck again, and this time he chose an opponent. The Panamanian defender
