Jeff Nelson of the Colorado School of Mines' men's soccer team was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference offensive player of the week.

Nelson, a senior forward from Laramie, scored four goals and tallied two assists to help Mines to a pair of victories last weekend. In Mines' 4-3 win at CSU-Pueblo on Friday, Nelson scored a pair of goals, including the winner, and added an assist.

Sophomore midfielder Riley Gallagher scored his first goal of the season and junior goalkeeper Adam Liszewski increased his shutout string to 276-plus minutes as the Colorado-Colorado Springs men's soccer team claimed a 1-0 victory over visiting Adams State College on Tuesday night at Mountain Lion Stadium.

Josi Heer's scored in the 58th minute and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs' made the goal stand up as the Mountain Lions beat St. Cloud State 1-0 Friday evening in Colorado Springs. A record crowd of 878 at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs saw the Mountain Lions drop a 1-0 match to No. 15 Rockhurst on Friday night.

Walter Moskop scored in the 53rd minute to disappoint a crowd that staged a march to Mountain Lion Stadium before the match.

More than 400 UCCS students gathered at the campus' housing village then walked down Austin Bluffs Parkway and up North Nevada Avenue to the stadium.
