It took a regulation 90 minutes, 20 minutes of sudden death overtime and eight rounds of penalty kicks to separate the Orediggers and the Tritons on Sunday afternoon at Auraria Field in Denver.
In the end, the UC-San Diego Tritons emerged with a 6-5 shootout win over the Colorado School of Mines and a trip to the NCAA Final Four.
Anna Evans showed Friday afternoon what the conference offensive player of the year can do with very little space and a team struggling to control the ball.
Evans fired from the top of the penalty area into the upper left corner past a stretched out Dani Hering in the 39th minute. Three sides that have seen a lot of one another in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference earned a spot in the NCAA Division II women's soccer tournament.

The NCAA Division II soccer tournament will have plenty of Colorado representatives after
announcing the brackets for the men's and women's tournaments on Monday evening.
After two straight losses, the Colorado School of Mines squad made sure that senior night
included a win to remember.
Five players scored as the Orediggers pounded the Adams State Grizzlies 8-1 on Friday night in
Golden. Tesho Akindele led the assault, scoring his first goal in the fifth minute, en route to his
sixth career hat trick.
Marc Herschberger scored 3:44 into the first overtime as Metro State upset No. 11 Colorado Mines
2-1 on Sunday at home.
It was the second win over a top-25 team in the past week for the Roadrunners, who improved to
6-2-1 overall and 4-1-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. CSM fell to 6-2-0 and 4-1-0.
Metropolitan State College of Denver and the Colorado School of Mines played into the dark and
into a second overtime period before someone finally found a goal on Friday night.

Players from Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schools dominated the NSCAA/Performance Subaru's
Central region men's soccer teams that were rolled out on Monday.

Colorado School of Mines defender Chris Bostic was named College Sports Information Directors of
America / ESPN the Magazine Third Team Academic All-American, it was announced Thursday.
Bostic, a senior from Erie, Colo., is a mechanical engineering major with a 3.86 cumulative
grade point average.

Mines 1, CSU-Pueblo 0: The Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team closed
out the 2010 regular season with a 1-0 victory in RMAC women's soccer action against CSU-Pueblo on
Sunday afternoon at the CSM Soccer Stadium.
The No.1-ranked Colorado School of Mines will host the 2010 RMAC Men's Soccer Championships in
Golden, Colorado, Nov. 5-7, the conference announced Monday.
The Orediggers lead the RMAC with a 10-0-1 conference record.

The Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team scored four-plus goals for the second straight
game defeating Colorado Christian by a score of 5-0 on Wednesday evening in RMAC action at the CSM

MPSF foe New Mexico, head coach Bobby Muuss announced.
"With so much of our team returning, we wanted to put together a very challenging spring

After playing even for a half, Fort Lewis College erupted for three second-half goals and
cruised to a 4-1 win over the Colorado School of Mines in Golden on Friday.
The Skyhawks scored first when Artur Piperkov connected for his first goal of the season 10
minutes into the match. Piperkov banged his shot in from 15 yards out.
Colorado School of Mines head men's soccer coach Frank Kohlenstein has been named the NSCAA
(National Soccer Coaches Association of America) / Mondo Central Region Coach of the Year for the
second straight year.
In his 13th season, Kohlenstein helped guide the 2010 Orediggers to a No. 1 ranking for four
consecutive weeks becoming the first team at Mines ever to hold the top spot.
