A photograph of Borussia Dortmund's new home shirt for the 2010-11 season has been revealed.
"Kappa has opted for a retro design. This shirt is characterized by a black polo neck and
horizontal thin black pinstripes down the shirt," according to Todo Sobre Camisetas.
What do you think about the new Borussia Dortmund jersey?
Congratulations are in order for Germany's Lukas Podolski, who has revealed that he proposed to
baby mum/long-term girlfriend, Monika Pulchalski shortly before the World Cup.
Not familiar with the Köln forward? He likes posing with jungle cats, he likes posing with
product in cologne ads, and posing whilst making us LOL.
With J Hutcherson -- The last time Hannover 96 was in the 2.Bundesliga was the 2001-02 season. They
got out of it by winning the title, capping a run of form that had them working their way out of
the third division only a few years earlier. Now, they're facing a relegation fight to stay up in a
tough season by any standard.

Jermaine Jones is making progress in his recovery from leg surgery, a recover that has turned
into an eight-month ordeal, but the U.S. national team-eligible midfieler still hasn't set a
timetable on his return.
In his first extensive interview in months, Jones told Der Westen that he has begun ball
training work in his rehabilitation, though he is still not training with the first team.
So the only name you should be chanting today is
Cacau! (and Senor Pep, of course).
Cacau is a Brazilian-born German national team player (ah, a
concorrência!) who scored four goals in Stuttgart's 5-1 win last night
against Cologne.

Featuring Germany World Cup 2006 and 2010 star Lukas Podolski, 1. FC Köln is a German professional
football club based in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia. It was formed in 1948 as a merger of the
clubs Kölner Ballspiel-Club 1901 and SpVgg Sülz 07. The club finished the 2010/11 German
Bundesliga season in 13th place.
Hungarian ref Alvaro Garcia Miguel gave Gábor Nagy of Haladás a red card and then gets it
snatched out of his hand by an irate Balazs Molnar who then naturally also got his marching
orders.
And then the fastest red in the history of the Bundesliga .Youssef Mohamad of Cologne managing
to collect one in the 83rd second of the game.
While offensive production has been one important story of the Premier League season so far - in
particular for leaders Chelsea and Arsenal - matches aren't won with offense alone. At the end of
the day, it is the difference in goals that matters, and for that, defensive production is
important. Here's how the Big Four leagues stack up, using data from the 2009-10 season (no good
reason to assume this year will be any different).
Schalke go 0 out of 4 to slip from crisis to meltdown. Wolfsburg and Stuttgart grab their first
wins. Other top clubs keep stuttering. The little ones keep rocking the table.
Schalke 1-3 Dortmund. Schalke had lost their previous matches as well, but at
least there was something of an upward spiral, with hints of better attacking football or a
slightly more stable defense.

GELSENKIRCHEN, Germany — Hugo Almeida scored a hat-trick but was then red-carded as Werder Bremen

What you see above is a delightful little red and white slipper bearing the Cologne club crest.
The only problem is that this Cologne slipper clearly has "Hamburger SV" stitched into it and not
"1. FC Koln" like the other half of the pair, which the German Cologne fan who bought them wasn't
too pleased with.
According to Manchester United's official website, Manchester United have
loaned out winger Zoran Tosic to Cologne for the rest of the
season.
Well, the January transfer window has come and gone and what has United done to bolster their
roster? Not a darn thing...
I don't know about you, but I am not convinced that the current roster is good enough to push
for either the premiership title, or a Champions League title. So, what has Sir Alex and the
Glaziers done to help the squad?

I was born into the English leagues. I grew up in Britain so the only leagues I could see on
television and see in person when I was a child in the late 70s and early 80s were the British
leagues. And one of the factors that attracted me most to those leagues, not that I had much of a
choice, was the noise and passion shown by the supporters.
Cologne's Lukas Podolski became the latest in a long line of players to score against their former
employers this weekend, when he fired a long distance free kick past Hans-Jorg Butt in the Bayern
Munich goal. But the real relief was that the man known as Poldi scored at all. After nearly
turning to mush on [.
So perhaps this is where we should be.
Two giants of German football locking horns for the title.
Bayern Munich have won 5 of the last 9 championships. Magath has won 3 of the last 5, is
responsible for 2 of Bayern's 5 and even led Stuttgart to 2nd in the past decade.
Michael Bradley spearheaded the defensive work for Gladbach as they took a point away from their
game against local rivals FC Cologne while Steve Cherundolo and Hannover lost to Stuttgart.
Steve Cherundolo will likely make his return to the starting line-up when Hannover 96 host FC
Cologne while David Yeldell will be between the sticks when TuS Koblenz tries to climb out of the
relegation zone.
Hannover 96 defender Steve Cherundolo bagged a sweet free kick as him team's consolation in
yesterday's 4-1 loss to Cologne. I was hoping to find a better clip, but this is what we have.-

US international defender Steve Cherundolo scored a consolation goal off a free kick over the
weekend in Hanover's 4-1 loss to Cologne.
Here's a welcome sight for supporters of the USMNT: video of US international defender Steve
Cherundolo scoring a consolation goal via free kick over the weekend in Hannover's 4-1 loss to
Cologne. Cherundolo, who started in all three of his country's games during the 2006 World Cup,
recently returned to the pitch for Hannover 96 after having been sidelined by a shoulder injury in
late January.
First Star: Steve Cherundolo got Hannover's only goal in a 4-1 loss to Cologne at AWD-Arena.
Hannover went a man down in the 45th minute. Cherundolo's goal came in the 81st, with Hannover
already trailing 4-0. The loss has them in 17th-place, two points from safety. Second Star: Jozy
Altidore contributed in another relegation battle, with Hull City getting a surprise home win
against Fulham.
Steve Cherundolo netted his first league goal in nearly three years to lessen the sting of
Hannover's huge loss at home to Cologne while David Yelldell and Koblenz had a rough day in
Duisburg.
A quick flick to the news this weekend and you probably heard about the Icelandic volcano currently
spewing its uninvited material all over global airspace. Planes are down, people are down and
spirits are down. It's affected football quite a bit, too, as Barca are being forced to read this
post on a bus via [.
Zoran Tosic's Manchester United career hasn't exactly gone to plan, with him seemingly not doing
enough in training to get much of a go for the first team.
He is enjoying himself on loan with Cologne, who are currently 11th in the Bundesliga, having
scored another two goals last week.
He has now revealed that he wants to make the loan move permanent and stay in Germany.
Bayer Leverkusen's central defender tries his luck mind controlling team mate Arturo Vidal, to
make him score the winning goal against Frankfurt. With limited success, as Vidal's great chance in
the 66th minute went wide. Hertha's coach Friedhelm Funkel meanwhile performs a much more
impressive levitation trick during his side's win over Cologne.
Leverkusen lose at last and do it in style. Bayern drop points and keep the top spot. Schalke
emerges from the shadow. Hannover stop the downward spiral for the moment.
Leverkusen. In hindsight, it's easy to say it had been coming. What's certain
though is, that Leverkusen's defeat at the hands of Nuremberg (2-3) was preceded by a number of
draws and victories, that were no longer confident, but rather bumpy and lucky at times.
197 countries will tune in live to show the spectacle of Hertha Berlin getting relegated and
some may even stay on air after the final whistle to show Bayern Munich being crowned Bundesliga
champions. Those 197 countries will miss out on the real deciders for the one remaining Champions
League and Europa League spot, the last direct relegation spot and the relegation play-off spot
though.
Good news for Manchester United's Zoran Tosic who was selected for the provisional squad. The
wingman has been on loan out in Germany for Cologne, managing 5 goals from nine starts and five sub
appearances. It has been reported that Zoran has the desire to make his stay permanent in Germany.
However he will have been disappointed to have not been at Old Trafford when both Giggs and Nani
were unavailable for the Carling Cup Final against Villa.

they do battle for their various countries in South Africa, they can easily overlook
