German streaker has message

Dirty Tackle 08 November @ 06:31 PM EST

Like all streakers, the one that invaded the pitch during Sunday's match between Hertha Berlin and Cologne had an important message to share with everyone.

Just kidding he was being a vulgar, self-important idiot and he went down like all the rest...

Bundesliga attendance remains high for 2009-10

Bundesliga Talk 08 October @ 02:23 AM EST

The German Bundesliga had the highest attendance of any European domestic league in the 2008-09 season. This season is no different with the league averaging well over 40,000 per match. While the Bundesliga does not have the television revenue of the English Premier League, they contain very strong loyal fans.

Tim Vickery Talks About South Americans in the Bundesliga

Bundesliga Talk 07 October @ 10:55 AM EST

First of all, I need to apologize. I interviewed Tim back at the end of August and am just now getting this out. I feel I did a disservice to the time he was so kind to give me. But, better late than never, so I have transcribed our talk about new South Americans in the Bundesliga.

Quarter 1 Report Card: New Club Managers

Premiership Talk Blog 05 October @ 12:09 PM EST

With the first quarter of football almost over in most leagues around Europe, now is a good time to measure the current progress of some of the giant clubs on the continent. Actually, analyzing the success or failure of clubs in general won't be nearly as exciting as identifying a more specific object of analysis.

Picture caption game – Jens Lehmann in Oktoberfest

WDKF | Qualified Football Arm Chair Managers Slash Pundits 21 September @ 05:57 PM EST
Jens Lehmann was dropped by Stuttgart after attending Oktoberfest, hours after his team's defeat against Cologne (2-0) in Bundesliga. Mad Jens Has A Typical Mad Jens Weekend

[101 Great Goals] The decision making abilities of Mad Jens took a predictable hit this weekend, as the older he gets the crazier his adventures. Photo of Lehmann at beer festival gets him dropped

Arsenal Analysis 21 September @ 02:34 PM EST
By AriesBayern head coach Markus Babbel was very annoyed with Jens Lehmann after his team's 2-0 defeat by Cologne over the weekend. He decided to come out of his area, rush way out to tackle an opponent and of course was left with egg on his face when the ball ended in the back of an unguarded net! Reminds you of his mad rushes when he used to play for Arsenal doesn't it? Click to continue reading...

Gol TV Sucks!

Bundesliga Talk 16 September @ 01:06 PM EST

I'm sick of this crappy little network and having to deal with their bullshit.

They suck. Plain and simple! They promised us 3 games a week and they are already backing off to 2 games a week at best. They promised a contest that never materialized. They pick up Europa and won't even show German teams.

Elano to move on?

Bitter and Blue 21 July @ 02:22 PM EST

The Manchester City career of Elano is hanging by a slender thread, with the Brazil international left out of the club's trip to South Africa and seemingly top of their clear-out list.

The Bundesliga side, Cologne, have approached City about taking the 28-year-old on loan and though he is understood not to be keen on the idea Elano may soon have to resign himself to a new challenge.

Gone Coachy Gone

bundesliga blogger 07 June @ 11:01 AM EST

Didn't loyalty used to go a long way? I know, not with players who immediately leave clubs when they smell two Euros more at another one. Okay, there a few exceptions of course, Lukas Podolski for instance who returns to his love FC Cologne or Robert Enke who does not want to transferred away from Hannover but should and therefore has to.
