The contract talks that Newcastle held with Coloccini's agent last week have not turned out to be
successful, so far. Fab Coloccini negotiations are ongoing That's the report in today's Sunday Sun,
as the club held talks with Coloccini's Argentine agent last week, but what was expected to be

Steven Taylor was in the best form of his career earlier in the season, when he formed a
tremendous partnership with Fab Coloccini at the back for Newcastle. Steven Taylor a broken nose
didn't stop this local lad from playing And it was Steven's excellent form that allowed Newcastle
to go the first 11 games unbeaten, and only concede 8 goals during that time.
We didn't feel good before last night's win at Blackburn. Fab Coloccini tussles with David Dunn
last night And when we wrote we just didn't have a good feeling about the game last night in our
match preview, that probably cheered up a of of Newcastle fans. And would you believe it,
the lads got a terrific win 2-0, and we were wrong again!
For the second game in a row Newcastle fans are talking about James Perch. Pardew thanks
James Perch after the game last night James has had his fair share of critics at Newcastle,
since he arrived eighteen months ago from Nottingham Forest. But at Brighton last Saturday in
the defeat to Albion, Perch was Newcastle's Man of the Match with a good no-nonsense
performance in place of Coloccini at center-back.
This match saw the welcome return of Captain Coloccini, and also the absence of Yohan Cabaye a
victim of trial by television and the London FA earlier in the day. Chris Samba was missing from
the Blackburn Rovers line-up following the club's failure to release him during the January
transfer window clearly fit [.
Fabricio Coloccini as expected is back in the starting line-up for Newcastle at Ewood Park
tonight. Coloccini missed Saturday's FA Cup 1-0 defeat at Brighton with a slight groin strain, but
he comes straight back into the Newcastle side for a tough game against Blackburn Rovers.
Ryan Taylor comes in for Yohan Cabaye in central midfield, and he did so well there in the QPR
game, when Cabaye [.
The one priority Newcastle had in this transfer market was to get a center-back in. Adrian Mariappa
fee couldn't be agreed with Watford And Newcastle failed to do that, although it seems they came
fairly close to signing Adrian Mariappa of Watford, as cover for Coloccini and Williamson, but we
are no better off [.
Fabricio Coloccini doesn't make the game at Brighton this afternoon, and in comes James Perch to
partner Mike Williamson at the back. The Newcastle captain was a doubt with a groin strain, and
it's always better to go safety first with these types of injuries, and hopefully Fab will be fit
for the league game at Blackburn [.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew wants to get two of his players signed up on new contracts at
Newcastle. Coloccini and Guthrie yesterday after Danny scored After the shock of yestreday's second
half performance at Fulham, Alan Pardew is hoping to tie down both his captain Fabricio Coloccini
and Danny Guthrie to new contracts, and the sooner the [.
It was an exciting day last Tuesday when we all found out Newcastle had managed to sign Papiss
Cisse from SC Frieburg, in what what was a whirlwind deal by Newcastle. Mike Ashley - looks like
we were losing in that game The money paid out for Cisse was the highest since we paid just over
£10M for Fab Coloccini [.
Newcastle fans were stunned and delighted at the club capturing 26 year old striker Papiss Cisse
yesterday, and the lad will wear the Newcastle number 9 shirt. 24-year-old Yohan Benalouane of
Cesena is potential target Now Newcastle need to bring in a center-back who can get the job done
for Newcastle in case Coloccini or [.

Alan Pardew must bring in another center-back in January. Yohan Benalouane in green in action
against Juventus That's if Newcastle are to avoid the embarrassment that happened last month
when Steven Taylor, Coloccini and Williamson were all out injured, and we had no recognized
center-backs to come into the first team at Norwich and lost [.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish thought the Reds fully deserved their victory after coming from
behind to beat Newcastle.
The visitors took a 25th minute lead through Daniel Agger's own goal, but the Reds hit back via a
Craig Bellamy brace and a Steven Gerrard effort.
The win was only the second in six matches at home after a proliferation of draws and Dalglish was
delighted to get the three points despite not dominating as much as they had done in some of their
previous stalemates.
Liverpool's Craig Bellamy sustained a nasty cut to the eye last night after a 'challenge' from
Fabricio Coloccini, and Former Newcastle goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has slammed the Argentinean
stopper for what he describes as an 'intentional' elbow. Hislop was incensed by the Coloccini's
challenge, and argued that he should've been sent off:"I think without a shadow of a doubt,
Colloccini could've and
There was some good news in the relative gloom of being beaten once again by Liverpool at
Anfield last night. Fab Coloccini in aaction last night Both Fab Coloccini and Cheick Tiote were
both on four yellow cards before last night's game, and neither of them received another
yellow card, which would have seen them suspended for one game.

interview, Newcastle's manager says "there are certain balls you can't defend against Andy Carroll,
because if the delivery is right and he gets at them in a certain angle there's nothing you can
do.
Most of the games for Newcastle have been tough ones these last few weeks. Ben Arfa could get
start at Bolton this afternoon And Bolton away this afternoon will be no different, and the good
news is that Newcastle should be close to their strongest side with Mike Williamson likely
to finally return to the fray, to partner Coloccini in central defense.

A very good interview in the Newcastle Journal today with Fab Coloccini, the Newcastle captain.
Coloccini surprised at how well Newcastle have done And the Argentine International confesses he
was more worried about relegation this season than anything else. During the summer there were a
number of things being written in about possible relegation [.

If you just imagine that Steven Taylor had been playing on Wednesday evening, do you think
Newcastle would have conceded those goals? Fab Coloccini - didn't have his usual good game on
Wednesday night Maybe one, but you have to think Newcastle would have been a a lot stronger
at the back, but Steven wasn't available of course, and we let in three very poor goals [.
Newcastle need a win tonight against WBA at St. James' Park. That would give Newcastle 30 points
from their first 17 league games, which is an excellent total for this time of the season.
Newcastle will be able to field almost their strongest team, but we do expect James Perch to
start alongside Fab Coloccini in the middle of Newcastle's defense, although if the game warrants
[.
Newcastle will have captain Fab Coloccini, Mike Williamson and Cheick Tiote back for the
upcoming games over the holiday period. Alan Pardew glad to have players back Only long term
injury casualties Steven Taylor and Sylvain Marveaux will not be available for the festive
period, although both Yohan Cabaye and Dan Gosling cannot play tonight due to suspensions.
There's some worrying news in the Daily Mirror today. Fab Coloccini no progress in contract
negotiations Apparently there has been a distinct lack of progress with the negotiations which
are ongoing on the new five year deal being offered to Fabricio Coloccini, the Newcastle
captain. We all know that the 34 times capped Argentine International is an important player both
on and off the field on [.
Newcastle played well on Saturday and were simply unlucky not to get that one goal that would
have given our boys all 3 points. Alan Pardew - hoping to repay faith of 52,000 fans With
Coloccini and Cheick Tiote back in the side, it looked so much different and so much better
than the side that went down 4-2 at Norwich City in the last game, when [.
We watched the interview with Fab Coloccini before yesterday's game with Swansea, and the player
comes over so well. Fab Coloccini - captain in action yesterday Not only that but he seems to love
it on Tyneside, and we have to hope that means he will soon sign a new deal to stay on Tyneside.
And Alan Pardew [.
Great news today that Newcastle captain Fab Coloccini and top midfielder Cheick Tiote both start
for Newcastle this afternoon against Swansea at home. And the other good news is that David Santon
get a start at right back as we had hoped for, following his good performance at Norwich last Week.
As expected James Perch will line [.
The Newcastle United lineup to face Swansea City is as follows:
Krul; Simpson, Perch, Coloccini (c), Santon; Obertan, Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez; Best, Ba.
There are returns to the Newcastle team for Coloccini and Tiote.
The subs are: Harper, Williamson, Abeid, Vuckic, Ben Arfa, Sammy Ameobi, Shola Ameobi.
There has been a lot of news on Cheick Tiote in the last few weeks and whether he will leave
Newcastle, and the midfielder is still only 50-50 for the game tomorrow against Swansea.
Coloccini still only 50-50 for Saturday That's the bad news from Alan Pardew and surprisingly Fab
Coloccini is also only 50-50, even after almost making the game [.
In my two decades as Newcastle fan I have had worse Christmases, tucking into my Turkey in 2008
whilst languishing four points above the relegation zone springs immediately to mind. This was made
all the worse by having to bypass drinking my despair away due to a nice early drive to Wigan the
next morning.
The guy we felt sorry for after the 4-2 defeat at Norwich City last Saturday was Tamas
Kadar. Tamas Kadar why is this lad not being given a chance? That's because, without both Fab
Coloccini, Steven Taylor and Mike Williamson o Saturday, our fourth specialized center-back
couldn't even make the bench at Carrow Road.
Alan Pardew is not blaming the make-shift center-backs for the defeat on Saturday. Fab Coloccini
- will definitely play on Saturday And he points the finger at the general team display, which
was just not good enough to get anything out of a game we would have been looking to have won
with our best side out.
Fabricio Coloccini is not ft to take his place in the Newcastle side at Norwich this afternoon.
And it's a big surprise to us that Danny Simpson and James Perch will be the central defensive
partnership this afternoon at Carrow Road. And it's all change in the back four as Ryan Taylor
moves across to right back [.
The news in the Northern Echo today is that it looks like Fab Coloccini will not make the game
this afternoon at Norwich City. If Coloccini is out will Simpson mocve to the middle? If that
news is correct, and we don't whether they have inside information are are just surmising
what could happen, then Newcastle will be fielding two out of position players at
center-back, with one of them being James Perch.
Tomorrow's game at Norwich gives Newcastle United a chance to get back to their winning
ways. But they will have to do that without top center-back Steven Taylor, who was injured in the
game against Chelsea last Saturday afternoon, and is now out for the season after undergoing
surgery on his Achilles last Monday.
