The ACC season kicked off for a number of teams over the weekend, as college soccer action
continued across the country. The University of Maryland got its league schedule started right with
a 2-0 victory over Boston College in College Park. The Terrapins face Duquense on Tuesday.
Elsewhere in the ACC, Duke beat Virginia 1-0 in double overtime, while midfielder Michael Farfan
scored the game winner as UNC beat NC State 2-1.

The University of Denver men's soccer recruiting class was ranked No. 18 in the nation by
College Soccer News, marking the second straight season that DU cracked the Top 20.
The Pioneers welcome seven student-athletes, including a pair from the nation's top 75, the

representatives from the MVC. Creighton, who reached the Final 8 in the NCAA last year after
defeating Missouri State 1-0 in the Conference Title game.
Seniors Chris Schuler and Byron Dacy of the Creighton men's
soccer team have been named Preseason All-Americans by College Soccer News.
