*The initial 36,000 tickets for MLS Cup Sunday in Seattle sold out, so another 6,000 tickets have been put on sale. Details here.

*As unlikely as the Galaxy's run to MLS Cup was, Real Salt Lake's performance was even less expected. Reaction here.

*U.S. Coach Bob Bradley called in the Houston Dynamo midfield duo of Ricardo Clark and Stuart Holden and Tigres defender Edgar Castillo for Wednesday's game against Demark.

A below-strength U.S. team lost 1-0 to Slovakia today in Bratislava, Chivas USA's Jonathan Bornstein being called for what was a very harsh penalty decision in the 26th minute (I think this is the moment, above, he 'brought down" Vladimir Weiss).

Mines claims No. 2 seed in RMAC tourney

The Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team won its fourth straight match, posting a 2-0 victory over Colorado Christian on Sunday afternoon in Golden. The win helped the Orediggers secure the No. 2 seed in the RMAC tournament, the highest seed Mines has ever earned.

Dani Hering gave Mines a lead in the 10th minute of the match.

Marshall adds to her CU record collection

The University of Colorado soccer team sent its seniors out on good note Friday afternoon at Prentup Field with a 2-0 victory over Texas Tech in CU's final regular-season game.

Colorado finishes the regular season 9-9, 6-4-0 in the Big 12, while the Red Raiders fall to 8-8-3 overall and 3-4-3 in conference.

Regis outshoots Fort Lewis, earns 2-2 tie

Freshman Taylor White scored her first collegiate goal to help lead the Regis Universtiy women's soccer team to a 2-2 tie with No. 13 Fort Lewis College on Sunday in Denver. Sophomore Kari Taylor also scored for the Rangers.

Fort Lewis' Erika Shisler scored in the seventh minute after receiving the ball near the goal and kicking it into the lower left corner.

Mitchell scores fifth treble of season, 26th goal of year

Kayla Mitchell scored four goals, including her conference-leading 26th of the season, as the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team posted its 12th shutout, a 4-0 victory against CSU-Pueblo on Friday in Golden.

The Orediggers have shut out seven of their past eight opponents.

Mitchell gave Mines a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute, when Liz Oba chipped a ball over the CSU-Pueblo defense.

Fort Lewis takes 49 shots in 11-0 victory

Euan Purcell's treble and Byron Cephers' brace led the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team as it recorded an 11-0 victory against Colorado Christian University on Sunday in Lakewood.

Fort Lewis, ranked No. 6 in the nation, recorded 49 shots in the victory to improve to 13-1 overall, 10-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Copeland’s goal helps Regis tie Mines

James Copeland scored as the Regis University men's soccer team tied the 15th-ranked Colorado School of Mines on Friday in Denver.

Regis remained unbeaten in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. The Rangers' record is 4-2-3 overall, 2-0-3 in conference.

"Whenever you play Mines, it is going to be a tough match, especially when they are ranked in the Top 15," Regis coach Tony McCall said.

The Roadrunners improved to 8-1-0 overall and 5-0-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while UCCSÂ dropped to 2-4-0, 1-4-0 in conference.
