"I think," he says, "that the 25,000 people watching—even the Liverpool supporters—will
probably agree with me that it looked like a very, very harsh decision and there was certainly no
intention to foul the player or give away a penalty."
"First off," I say, "no, they won't. Second, since when is sticking your ass into a player and
grabbing his shoulder as he tries to get around said ass within the rules of the game?
Morning all,
I spent the last few minute sipping my coffee, which was delicious, and reading the quotes from
Kieran Gibbs. He says, rightly enough, that we make too many mistakes, but that the mistakes are
due to our attacking nature. He also says the players need to get behind the manager because what
he's done is incredible and says that the team are united and working hard to put the difficult
times behind them.
What are the odds Becks returns to the Premier League? Derek McGovern's Bets of the
Day
How can FIFA possibly dispel lingering allegations of bribery and corruption when England are
ranked fourth-best team in the world? The rankings are worked out scientifically by the same
boffins who tell us coffee is bad for us one year and then good for us the year after.
Rome: city of passion and romance. And late nights? Images: Bauer Griffin/Zimbio.
Either exploring the tourist sights of Rome is more exhausting than we thought, or the edge has
come off this particular coupling already.
After considering all of the facts: it takes several hours and fourteen cups of coffee to
prepare our snark muscle for action; Malena's spectacular 'bish, please' aimed directly at her
man, (left) and how easy it is to read 'meaning' into candid photos, we've decided to go
with the former.
Sky Sports News transfer deadline day running order revealed! Warning: includes JIM
WHITE SHOUTING
Our resident humourist Annie Eaves has been granted a sneak peek at Sky Sports News' transfer
deadline day running order. This is what you can expect to see on channel 405 today.
It's the start of a new season, and for a soccer fan in America, it means setting the alarm extra
early (or waking up on your own two hours early, shaking with excitement), putting on a pot of
coffee, playing the appropriate tunes, and participating...

Disabled football fans who have benefitted from Liverpool's Respect 4 All coaching gathered at
Anfield for their annual party.
The club's Respect 4 All Disability Centre started in September 2008 and has coaching sessions four
nights a week.
It helps people who are visually impaired, physically disabled, wheelchair users or have severe
learning difficulties - allowing them to play sports often for the first time.
Those who frequent TSG know we pride ourselves on accountability and the axiom, "you can't look
at a single observation, you have to look at the entire body of work."
On the former, witness Defense Exhibit A below. We probably should have doctored up
some of the predictions (Kenny Cooper for Comeback Player of the Year or Eric Alexander for
Breakout Player), but we didn't.
We at In The Stands almost spat our coffee's out in horror upon learning the requirements both
financially and materially Cheryl Cole has placed on ex-husband Ashley Cole in order to secure a
dramatic reunion. So you want Cheryl Cole back then do you Ash? Here is what you have to do...

I think the Swedish team needs to bring back the team-wide braided pigtails they sported to a
third-place finish in 2003. They need the mojo.
They're scoreless against Columbia through the first half hour
30 - Rincon tries a free kick from way outside. Hmm. Colombia is scrappy, but they look exhausted
already in the heat.
szólj hozzá: Iceland 3-1 Denmark 1. Switzerland are still looking like the real deal. Three wins
from three and looking formidable on their way into the semi-finals. 2. Iceland coach Eyjólfur
Sverrisson is our new hero of the tournament. He turned up for the second half with a cardboard
cup, sipping at his coffee.
In a recent Manchester City documentary entitled Blue Moon Rising, which chronicles the
Premier League club's 2009-10 season, die-hard City fan Noel Gallagher (yes, of Oasis) prolifically
states, "Any football fan just wants to be proud of their team. Whether they win or they lose is
really irrelevant.
Can I have my islands back? Remember Julio Grondona? He's the former Argentine FA boss and current
FIFA suit who was recently featured on OTP when Diego Maradona implicated him in the coffee-doping
scandal. Now he has implicated himself in what would have gone down in history as the biggest bribe
in FIFA history.

After a huge win like the one against the Cosmos a letdown could have been expected for the
Sting but it never came. The next game in Minnesota at the old Metropolitan Stadium saw the Sting
route the Kicks 5-2.
Arno Steffenhagen returned to the lineup after missing the New York game to score two goals, one
on a bicycle kick.
First shot of the new war. 2010.Looking to all the great games this weekend, one stands above the
rest. The Cascadia Rivalry. The Seattle Sounders are hosting their 30+ year rivals the Portland
Timbers. Expect this one to be three things: loud, physical and damned exciting.
Just as the New York/LA game was billed as a battle of the league's most expensive and start
studded teams, this game is billed as the rivalry that never sleeps.
According to Graeme Bailey at Sky Sports News, Chelsea striker Didier
Drogba admitted that he will hold contact talks with the club in May. Drogba said,
"It will be very interesting to see what happens in May ... Then we can sit and speak about it
and have a coffee.
Or doffed, anyway.
Luca Toni v Louis van Gaal is a notch below the highly emotional,
somebody-might-need-a-lawyer-shortly battle that is Zlatan v Pep as far as ex-striker v coaches go,
but it's nonetheless juicy. Well, only if you like saggy old man onions, perhaps.
And that is the look of a man clearly pleased with what's happening in his pants.

Canadians can't stand going without coffee. Even worse? Not having a team in the FIFA World Cup
event for 2014. Absolutely unthinkable, say eight of ten Canadians.
