As voices of discontent gathered at the back of the Milburn stand before the game, they were
equally as vociferous in their support for their team once they got inside the ground. The second
largest attendance of the day (43,067) certainly made their feelings known.
The Newcastle fans had something to shout about other than the owner as Jonas Gutierrez ran from
the halfway, and finished with a shot that went past 'Keeper Joe Lewis.

Piquionne and Dindane are going to have to put in these types of performances week in and week
out.

If there was any doubt about Michael Bradley having returned to his top form, he surely killed
off that uncertainty this weekend.

Manchester United's second string overcame the dismissal of Gary Neville to march into the last
eight of the Carling Cup thanks to goals in each half from Danny Welbeck and Michael Owen to beat
Barnsley 2-0.
Welbeck headed home Anderson's corner while unmarked in the fifth minute and Owen's neat finish
just before the hour-mark put the holders in the clear in front of a sell-out crowd at Oakwell.

from his locker room.
One of the most troubling stories about Roy Keane's management did not involve him screaming,
shouting or karate-kicking the tactics board in the dressing room, as Dwight Yorke has described so
