for tonight's game with Spurs at Anfield. Jose Enrique is injured, which probably means Glen
Johnson will play at left-back.Full Team: Reina; Kelly, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Spearing, Adam,

against Manchester City at Anfield.Craig Bellamy and Dirk Kuyt come into the team to replace those
two. Here is the full team:Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Henderson, Adam, Gerrard,

Liverpool stars Jose Enrique and Sebastian Coates went back to school as they took part in some
fantastic community department led initiatives.
The duo, who were joined by Liverpool FC Ladies skipper Vicky Jones, visited St. Silas Primary
School in Toxteth for the LFC Equality 4 All Scheme, and then Shorefields Community College in
Dingle Vale for the LFC Premier League 4 Sport event.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa are waiting in the wings to make a move for Blackburn defender
Scott Dann before the transfer window closes according to skysports.com.
The 24-year-old has made 11 Barclays Premier League starts for Steve Kean's struggling side this
season, prior to picking up a groin injury just before the busy festive period.
Paul Merson felt Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish got his tactics wrong in their 0-0 draw with
Stoke.
The Reds went into the match with three central defenders - Jamie Carragher, Sebastian Coates and
Martin Skrtel - looking to deal with Stoke's lone striker Peter Crouch.
Merson said it became quickly apparent that Liverpool didn't need so many bodies at the back, but
Dalglish persisted with the formation throughout a frustrating 90 minutes for the Anfield crowd.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish failed to come up with the winning formula at Anfield as his side
were held to a goalless draw against Stoke.
An unfamiliar line-up to combat the visitors' obvious physical strengths initially appeared to
cause more problems for the Reds than it did their opponents.
We're not gonna do this. Not right now. Just go read the Blackburn recap. Or the Swansea recap.
Or any other match in which Liverpool never really looked like doing something worth watching,
subtract any chances that were created but not taken, punch yourself in the face for watching the
whole thing, and then go back to drinking yourself into oblivion.

Manager Kenny Dalglish admits the 5-1 scoreline in Liverpool's FA Cup third-round triumph over
Oldham at Anfield flattered his side.
The League One visitors took a deserved lead through Robbie Simpson's brilliant strike in the 28th
minute but a freakish deflected equalizer from Craig Bellamy soon after was followed by Steven
Gerrard's penalty just before half-time.
Liverpool 5: Bellamy 29′, Gerrard 45+1′, Shelvey 68′, Carroll 89′, Downing
90+5′Oldham 1: Simpson 27′
It's finally the scoreline we were waiting for, but a lackadaisical first half and an incident
late in the second take some of the sheen off for Liverpool, who worked their way past Oldham on
the strength of a terrific display by Craig Bellamy.
Goals:Simpson 28'
Bellamy 30'
Gerrard 45' (pen)
Shelvey 68'
Carroll 89'
Downing 90+4'
It should be illegal to complain when Liverpool score five, including firsts for Shelvey and
Downing and a cameo from Carroll off the bench, no matter the opposition or merits of overall
performance.
Anfield Rd: Gerrard starts for Reds in cup 3rd round
Liverpool have their captain back as Steven Gerrard makes his first start since his
pre-Christmas injury lay-off. Manager Kenny Dalglish has picked a strong side for the visit of
Oldham in this Budweiser sponsored cup match, but as strong as it might be it isn't Liverpool's
strongest.
FA Cup Tips: Henry returns to Arsenal and 2012′s first Manchester derby - originally posted on
Soccerlens.com
Liverpool are 1.12 to beat Oldham tonight and progress into the next round of the FA Cup, and it
really should be a case of how many they win by despite their poor home record.
The Reds have won all three previous meetings between the two sides in this competition, and
although they have been eliminated at this stage in each of the last two seasons it's 88 years
since they went three consecutive seasons without making it past the third round.
Possible Team v Oldham
Liverpool face a welcome break from off-field controversies with the visit of Paul Dickov's League
One side; Oldham Athletic to Anfield at 7:45 Friday night.
Expect to see Liverpool Manager, Kenny Dalglish to ring the changes for this 3rd round tie with
Carra making a welcome return alonside Uraguyan youngster Coates in defence.
3pm ET, not live on TV anywhere in the world. The whole world, apparently. So there probably won't
be streams and there probably won't be an OYB match review either. Yes, this sucks. I'm sorry.
Last four head-to-head:
3-0 Liverpool (a) 01.15.94
2-1 Liverpool (h) 10.16.93
2-3 Oldham (a) 05.

Porto defender Jorge Fucile is being touted as a January signing for Liverpool as they look to
improve their defence, according to The Daily Mail.
The 27 year old can operate at either fullback position and has been capped 34 times for Uruguay.
Liverpool already has two Uruguayan players in their ranks with Luis Suarez and Sebastian Coates.
Squad sheets: Liverpool v Blackburn Rovers
Never before has this fixture been so much about the individuals involved. On one side there is
Luis Suárez, playing at Anfield for the first time since receiving an eight-match ban from the
Football Association, while on the other stands Steve Kean, the beleaguered Blackburn manager who
arrives on Merseyside with his team in last place and their fans calling ever louder for him to be
sacked.
Kop legend John Barnes has spoken of his pride after taking over the presidency of Liverpool's
Disabled Supporters Association.
At a gala Christmas dinner at Anfield last week, attended by first team defender Sebastian Coates
and outgoing president Alan Kennedy, Barnes addressed over 200 members of the LDSA and revealed the
huge sense of honour he feels at being asked to assume such a prestigious position.
Squad sheets: Wigan Athletic v Liverpool
Wigan have fared surprisingly well in recent meetings here, taking a win and two draws from the
last three, and have lost one in five against Liverpool overall, but Roberto Martínez feels that
at present Kenny Dalglish's side offers a particularly stern test.
Liverpool Lineup:
Reina, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Shelvey, Bellamy, Suarez

Squad sheets: Aston Villa v Liverpool
Stewart Downing, who scored the only goal of the game in the corresponding fixture at the end of
last season, can expect a hostile reception from Aston Villa supporters on his return to his former
club. The England winger has still to score for a Liverpool side that have lost only once in their
last 10 league matches.
Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has hailed his partnership with Daniel Agger, stating the Dane is
easy to play alongside.
The Reds have conceded three goals in six games since the Slovakian stopper was paired with Agger
during Jamie Carragher's absence.
Uruguayan Sebastian Coates is also vying to start for Liverpool and Skrtel believes competition for
places is healthy.
Gaston Ramirez is set to be the subject of bids from both Liverpool and Juventus when the January
transfer window opens.
The Uruguayan playmaker has emerged as one of the most in-demand players in Italy, thanks to his
impressive form since joining Bologna from Penarol in 2010.
It was thought Juventus would land the 21-year-old at the end of the season, but reports in Italy
have suggested the situation has changed.
Kenny Dalglish seems determined to stop the *proven* combination of Luis Suarez, Craig Bellamy and
Maxi Rodrigues playing in the same team, and has named a side with Maxi and Suarez starting, and
Bellamy on the bench. The full team:Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Adam, Henderson,
Downing, Maxi, Kuyt, Suarez.

Liverpool continue to display green shoots of progress under Kenny Dalglish, and 9 months into the
Scot's second coming Anfield his side look capable re-joining European football's elite for the
first time since the 2009/10 season.
But frustratingly for the Anfield faithful, Liverpool have demonstrated something of a soft
underbelly this season, dropping points against Swansea, Norwich and most recently Fulham as the
lost ground to Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal in the race for a precious Champions League spot.
Liverpool defender Daniel Agger determined to beat QPR after Fulham defeat
Danish defender focused on helping Kenny Dalglish's side recover from their loss at Craven
Cottage and also believes youngster Sebastian Coates has a bright future

With so much grief given out to our esteemed manager during pre season, and with another

apparent 'panic buys' have compared to the big money signings of some of our closest league

Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates has declared that he cannot wait to run onto the pitch at
Anfield and hear the loyal supporters roar the team on.
The Uruguay international signed for the Reds in August and has made four appearances so far which
have all been away from home.
The young centre-back has watched many games from the bench this season and he has expressed his
desire to play in front of the Kop fans at home.
