Last week, I posted a tweet that if I was reborn, I would become a Tottenham Hotspur supporter
simply because of The Spurs Show podcast. And I meant it. Most of the readers here know me
as a Swansea City supporter, but there's something completely endearing, refreshing, honest and
depressing about being a regular listener to The Spurs Show that makes me feel closer to
the pain one must feel supporting THFC.

In the opening minutes of Saturday's Ukraine v England match, England keeper Robert Green was
forced to scurry out of his goal as the Ukrainian fans hurled flares onto the pitch. Once the
threat of being pegged with a fireball and burning alive subsided, the unnerved goalkeeper promptly
went on to earn the first red card for England since Wayne Rooney in the last World Cup.

W.C. qualifier has 134 tickets sold
I probably don't know the whole story, but it doesn't make it any less remarkable. Only 134 tickets
have been sold in Columbia for an upcoming World Cup qualifier against Chile.
It's a big game! Chile is right in the mix for a berth and Colombia is just two points out!

I have found that listening to most podcasts is not good for my health, especially my blood
pressure. With very few exceptions, most notably the Guardian's fantastic Football Weekly, the
drivel spewed forth in these little mp3s is enough to make one scratch their eyes out. None more so
at times than the BBC's 606.

Sources have been informing our trading team that Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp, is
leaving the club after the match against Bolton Wanderers this afternoon.
Contrary to the rampant rumours circulating yesterday, Redknapp will not be returning to former
club Portsmouth as there would likely be a lynching for the Fake Freeperson of the City.

EPL Talk 30 August @ 01:10 PM EST
(Can a simple name change effect results?)
Last Friday, August 21st, 2009 was in my opinion a small step back for football in this country.
The controversial day marked the end of World Soccer Daily, the only daily football talk show in
America. The sense of community that I & so many other American European football fans found at WSD
will truly be missed.

A few weeks ago, I said that Steven Cohen's claims of intimidation were completely frivolous and
fanciful. I said he was only making those claims in order to engender sympathy from the misinformed
and/or gullible. I said if there really were this kind of threats, anything resembling this kind of
horrible behavior, it would be a matter for law enforcement.

ESPN's fledgling new sports channel is beginning to pull things together rather nicely since it
won the rights that Setanta lost last month. Capturing those 46 games is certainly a coup for them
but the work really begins when they add the front row staff to present the output and act as a
front for the channel itself.

I can feel it - this is the week that I will finally prevail in the Picking The Winners challenge.
After a poor showing in my debut two weeks ago, I classed things up a little for last week,
narrowly losing on the last game of the week to my counterpart, Greg Seltzer of No Short Corners.
For this week's picks, I feel even better about my chances, so lets get down to business.

Today the club confronted the issue of the co-host of a mysteriously popular U.S. radio show

accomplishment for a team that few can claim to have heard of prior to this season.
