Stade Municipal Du Ray, Nice
1 PM ET (19:00 CET, 18:00 GMT)
After Tuesday's unbelievable victory at Anfield, we can only hope that the players have come back
down to earth- because I'm still on cloud nine- and are ready to dispatch there next league
obstacle and maintain their miniscule +1 goal differential lead over second place Montpellier?
Xabi Alonso has finalised his €30 million move to Real Madrid after
weeks of negotiations and looking muy triste everywhere he went. Yes, it's another coup
for Potter Perez and the delusion of the Galactico 2.0 era which
even we can't swallow.
Sunny Day Real Estate is back and with the original line-up. Last night they were on Fallon, and I
was on cloud nine. Dare I say it, but this was probably one of the best things to come out of the
90's not named Christina Applegate.
Eintracht Frankfurt – Werder Bremen 0-5
The pressure on Frankfurt's coach Friedhelm Funkel is rising and although the team managed to
stay in the Bundesliga, the fans apparently want more. But with those players, there isn't much
more to achieve. Yet another case of lost of reality.
I'm sure many of us are still riding high on the peak of cloud nine following the last gasp
events of Sunday afternoon and who in their right mind can blame us! In fairness, you could even be
forgiven for allowing this evening's fixture against Wolves to have slipped the mind and altogether
dipped off the radar.
