With World Cup qualifiers about to take place, there isn't too much happening at club level. But
there are a few articles and updates that caught my eye.
The biggest news is the medical update on Bafetimbi Gomis. Two days ago at
Guingamp, Gomis collapsed during practice with the France squad.

Readers of this blog will know how much I detest Arsene Wenger and his policy of stealing the
youth players of other clubs. I know other clubs do it too (Chelsea is another notable example),
but Arsenal do it every other day. In fact, I protested this post that praised Arsenal's youth
system chiefly because Arsenal's youth system is really just Arsene systematically purchasing well
known young prospects from other clubs.

The UEFA Under-17 Championship is in full swing, and whaddya know, France are in the semifinals.
They finished second in their group (Spain got top spot because they scored one more goal), and so
this afternoon, they will be taking on group winners Turkey for a place in the finals.
Our Lyon boys are putting forth a fine display.
