It's the final group stages matchday of the Champions League, and Roma and Inter Milan need to
win their midweek matches. After such a poor display from Italian sides in the Europa League, the
Serie A needs to hold its head high and have three teams go into the knockout stages of Europe's

Today is the last day of the group stages, and while a good number of teams have already secured
qualification to the next phase, there are still some tasty matches on tap, and qualification spots
on the line.

Gaal believes they should play to win regardless because it can in some ways kick start their

Since this was the final game before the Winter break, I was hoping for a battle, and that is what
I got. I was a little skeptical about Roma's chances going into this game. Their poor performance
against Bari the week before gave us Giallorossi fans little confidence. Even though Roma defeated
Bari, the team as a whole seemed lethargic.
Last season Roma lost their opening two fixtures and sat bottom of Serie A. The extremely talented
& innovative Luciano Spalletti resigned and the club appointed Claudio Ranieri to his dream job.
The Roman coach did what he was seemingly incapable of elsewhere and inspired his home-town team to
an incredible 24 game unbeaten run during which his every move seemed perfect.
Malaga have signed Brazilian attacker Julio Baptista from Roma according to Jose Carlos Perez,
who is a close aide of club owner Sheikh Al-Thani.
Baptista has struggled to get playing time at Roma under Claudio Ranieri this season and he has
been long linked with a move back to La Liga and to Malaga.
