The victory against Inter was not backed by a vintage performance but served as a reprieve for
Ciro Ferrara who is under intense pressure from the tifosi to bring glory back to the Old Lady
following a summer spending campaign which included the signing of Brazilians Diego and Felipe Melo

There are winners and there are losers in football and it's time to weed out those who suffered
in 2009. But losing is not a simple concept. Some are major contributors to their own downfall and

When word of Mark Hughes' dismissal hit the airwaves following City's victory
over Sunderland, it wasn't the sacking that had everyone rubbing their eyes. It was the
speed in which the Welshman had departed and his successor Roberto Mancini had arrived
that had fans and pundits scratching their heads.
It was the 10th day of March, 2004. The setting was the Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford.
Costinha had just equalized in stoppage time for FC Porto thus knocking out Manchester United of

Should I ever consider staying up ‘til 4am to watch such a wretched display as tendered by West
Ham at the weekend, I'll do well to remember that I'm likely to derive as much pleasure from
hammering cuff-links into my foot.
With my other foot, having just severed it with a plastic fork.
Christmas time is here, which means Serie A goes on it's winter break, players go on vacation,
transfer rumors start to heat up because of the forthcoming transfer window, and daily news runs a
little thin. So I've decided to make a Serie A Christmas list, a list of what players, managers,
and teams are asking ol' St.
