Goals of the week: Giornata 4

The Offside: Italy 22 September @ 04:38 PM EST

Lots of goals scored this week, with only one 0-0 draw (Napoli-Udinese) and many teams scoring 3+ goals. There were some nice ones this week. Goals after the jump.

Emanuel Rivas vs. Atalanta - The Bari midfielder scores a nice opening goal. Dribbles to the center and unleashes a laser strike from around 20 yards out.

The Future is Bright, The Future is Azzurrini

SoccerLens 03 July @ 05:11 AM EST

As the Azzurri floundered and failed in South Africa, it was left to the Azzurrini to provide the Italian nation with something at cheer about or at the very least restore some national pride, which they managed to do, and even more so if it weren't for the great German machine.

Heading to the European U21 Championships in Sweden, the Italy U21 side were the favourites, along with England and Spain U21's.

Casiraghi announces U-21 Championship final roster

The Offside: Italy 01 June @ 04:17 PM EST

On June 16th, Italy will play their first game of the UEFA U-21 Championship 2009 vs. Serbia. The Azzurrini find themselves in a group with Belarus, Serbia, and hosts Sweden. Italy have always been successful at this level however they have not won the U-21 Championship since 2004. Pierluigi Casiraghi has been unsuccessful with the Azzurrini so far since taking over from Claudio Gentile in 2006 and this is arguably his last chance.

Juventus 1-0 Napoli: “Claudio Marchisio” Wipes Stamford Bridge Tears Away (Serie A Matchday 26)

mCalcio 01 March @ 11:49 AM EST
It may not be champagne football, but Juventus know just what to do to pick themselves up. Juventus 1-0 Fiorentina: Marchisio Puts Bianconeri on Top (Serie A Matchday 20)

mCalcio 25 January @ 11:17 AM EST
The Bianconeri can pat themselves on the back. After a long climb the Old Lady reached the peak of Serie A, planting her flag at the top; some very much needed black & white colours to break the monotony of a landscape of Neroazzurro.
