Today is one of the most important days in the American sporting calendar, as the NFL's Super Bowl
takes place. But well before the rival Giants and Patriots kick off in Indianapolis, the real clash
of the titans will take place at Stamford Bridge. Either Manchester United or Chelsea have won the
last seven Premier [.
Funk Seoul BrothersFC Seoul 3-1 Seongnam (23:10:11)Dominic Norris pushes the boundaries of European Football Weekends by
around five thousand miles to bring us a report from a match involving two of South Korea's
footballing heavyweights...Travelling from the relaxed, curious hubbub of South Korea's single largest populated island,
Jeju-do, to the franetic, blurred motion of the nation's capital, Seoul, was enough of a shock
enough to leave me feeling somewhat in limbo.
The Devil Is In The Detail | Liverpool V United | The Aftermath
AnfieldIndex Liverpool FC Stats | Liverpool FC Blog | Liverpool FC Forum It was supposed to be
the game to end all games. A Clash of the Titans. El Classico, English style. Instead we were left
with a damp squid of a football match that only came.
Match Preview: Liverpool vs Manchester Utd
Twice a season the two most successful teams in British football history come together in a
fixture so significant that it attracts enough viewers to circle the earth almost 20 times over.
Tomorrow, the first leg of this epic encounter takes place at Anfield, where the atmosphere is sure
to be electric.
Both Sir Alex Ferguson and Andre Villas Boas held their press conferences today ahead of this
weekends clash of the titans. Here first of all is a clip from AVB speaking and then followed by
Sir Alex Ferguson on Chelsea and Villas Boas.

France 3:1 to clinch third.
The seleçao were top gunners with 18 goals in seven matches but Nigeria were the most prolific,
averaging three goals a game. Spain were the most on-target team, shooting on goal 54 times in five
games.
Somebody hasn't been smiling on the football authorities at the end of this season. The one year
that the play-offs have to be moved from London to Manchester and this, for the record is not a
comment on whether the current volume of matches that are being played at Wembley is anything like
a good thing ends up being the year in which the majority of clubs that would have been playing
there would likely have preferred to have been playing in London instead.
A couple of nights ago as Manchester United achieved with the greatest possible ease the result
even the most sceptical football follower could not have denied - a 4 - 1 victory in front of their
own fans allowing a second string 11 to cruise their way past an over achieving Schalke side - most
football fans across the world had long since shifted their thoughts to the mouth watering prospect
of the Champions League final that awaits us - long before the final whistle was blown at Old
Trafford.
That's the million dollar question, and proves the ultimate tactical chess match for Manchester
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Who he chooses to play, and in what alignment and system, prove to be they key questions in the
preparations for this Clash of the Titans.
Phil McNulty of the BBC analyses the challenges posed to Ferguson as he preps for Barca.
Last Sunday's visit to Arsenal didn't turn out as hoped, but as ill-timed and disappointing of a
defeat the 1-0 reverse at the Emirates was, it's not remotely the end of the world for Manchester
United, especially with two doses of home cooking in what amounts to the most important week of the
season to date.
Starting things of on Friday the 15th of April it was the clash of the titans, or maybe one
titan and a has-been titan? Djurgårdens IF played hosts to reigning champions Malmö FF at the old
Olympic Stadium in Stockholm. Djurgården used to be one of the top teams in Sweden and I don't
think it's a stretch to imagine that in the near future they could reach such heights again.
Tonight's match could be billed as a "Clash of the Titans" as much as it is a "Battle of the
Unbeaten." The New England Revolution enter play as the first-place team in the Eastern Conference;
Real Salt Lake comes to town as the class of the league, undefeated with a game in hand on their
Western competitors, and MLS's first representative in the CONCACAF Champions' League Final since
the format changed a few years ago.
Fulham-Blackpool the encounter I watched last Saturday with real attentiveness is, in a weird
sort of way, my kind of match. Not that I don't enjoy the big clubs with their expensive
workforces: especially when they play one another there's an entertaining Clash of the Titans feel
to the enterprise.
Depending on what time zone you are in, it doesn't matter if you should be in bed or you should
be at work, you don't want to miss the Clash of the Titans on Wednesday between Arsenal and
Barcelona. These two great teams met in the final of the Champions League in 2006 with Barcelona
edging a tight game.
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will meet in the Copa del Rey final
The headlines over the last 24 hours have belonged mainly to the big two of Spanish football as
Real Madrid and FC Barcelona marched on to the final of the Copa del Rey following victories
against Sevilla FC and Almeria CF respectively.
