Following his first career hat-trick, Philadelphia Union striker CJ Sapong has been named this week's NASR (North American Soccer Reporters) player of the week.

CJ's hat-trick helped the Union pull out their first win of the 2017 MLS season, as well as ending their 252 day winless streak dating back to August of 2016.

It's been a while since a Philadelphia Union player was nominated to the MLS Team of the Week. August 29th of last year to be exact, when Keegan Rosenberry was named in the Week 25 edition.
