This may be a recurring theme on this blog for the next week or so but things still have to be
said.
I still can't believe that the general feeling amongst most in the British media/game is that Stoke
City Ryan Shawcross is the victim in this situation!
It's that bad I believe that if you had not heard of the whole situation until today, you would
have thought that Shawcross is the one with the broken leg, not Ramsey.

Anyone watching the Stoke City against Arsenal game on Saturday would have been absolutely
sickened to see the horrific injury against Arsenal forward Aaron Ramsey. The horror show tackle
could easily end Ramsey's career such was the extent of the injury.
The incident happened in the second half when Ryan Shawcross knocked the ball ahead of him and
tried to catch up to it while Aaron Ramsey ran forward to intercept the ball.

The Wayne Bridge-John Terry saga has reached new heights.

Wayne Bridge has turned his back on England. The Manchester City defender released a short
statement to Press Association Sport this morning claiming his presence within the national squad
was potentially "divisive" and that he did not wish to be selected.

Just watching Match of the Day 2, trying to wring every drop out of the weekend before the onset
of the new week, and I'm on the verge of sleep as Man City and Liverpool cancel each other out on
the way to what was a largely uninspiring and insipid 0-0 draw.
Just as I had pretty much given up on it and my mind was set on bed, three incidents occurred in
the space of the last ten minutes or so that placed the issue of fair play squarely on the
table.

Until the Premier League institutes a playoff for the fourth Champions League, we'll have to
settle for matches like Sunday's clash between Liverpool and Manchester City to decide the fate of
the league's final golden ticket into Europe's glamour competition.
City is a point ahead of the Reds with a game in hand – and it's playing at home – so if
this is truly to be the year that someone cracks the big four, this match is an opportunity to
strike a blow.

When Landon Donovan set out on his three-month loan stint from the Los Angeles Galaxy to Everton FC
back in January, many fans of the USMNT were worried that he might have a target on his back when
matching up against some of the English players that he is likely to face in the World Cup this
June. As it turns out, it was Donovan who cast the first injury stone, knocking out England's
starting left-back Ashley Cole for three months with a broken ankle.
