Guingamp suffered their third straight away defeat at the hands of FC Metz last night.
Guingamp started the game brightly creating 3 good chances in the first half but Giresse, Soumah
and Diallo were all unable to take their chances.
At half-time the game remained 0-0, Guingamp's failure to take their chances would once again
come back to hurt them.

Well, there has been quite a bit of discussion in the post AEKBaltimore put up. Since the match
alot has happened, most regarding the horrendous officiating at the match. But first, a review.
For everyone who has been following AEK you know how incredibly unlucky we tend to be,
especially when it matters most.

Ligue 1 started with a bang and some 24 goals. Lyon already showed their limitations with a very
laborious draw while Bordeaux and Marseille showed that, yes, they were the team to beat.
Meanwhile, only 3 correct predictions for week 1. Ouch!
Not much luck for Lens last weekend who tied the game before half-time but managed to take 2 goals
in extra time courtesy of Marouane Chamakh and Yohann Gourcuff.

Anyway.
Chelsea netted twice in the final five minutes to salvage a 2-2 draw with Reading at the

Jeremy and I were IMing earlier today about some of the moves that seem likely to be completed in
the next day or two. I'll spare you the transcript - Jeremy likes that gimmick more than I do -
but here are some thoughts:
1) Zamora to Hull for £5M - Huh? I don't object to Hull picking up Zamora for depth, he's an
adequate 3rd or 4th striker for a team with aspirations of being mid-table.

Well not only did their team win the Scottish league title, but on the last day of the season the
clever Rangers fans texted misinformation about a goal that wasn't to their Celtic-supporting
friends -- which then mistakingly believed they had a chance at the championship.

Sunderland Football: Keano's proving a slippery Black Cat as Tottenham are stunned
So Sunderland football and the FA Premier League do mix! Roy Keano is beginning to show signs of
not only being a fierce man motivator, but a real canny mover in the transfer market as well.
His Sunderland football side has been beefed up with proven Premiership players this year, and boy
does it show, and with Anton Ferdinand another likely arrival you really can't see Sunderland and
Keano boys struggling in the Premiership this year.

Another great article from former Republic of Ireland forward Tony Cascarino, where Tony questions
the recent signings that Keane has made including Pascal Chimbonda, El Hadji Diouf, and Djibril
Cisse. I disagree with Tony on his views though as I think Roy is doing the best he can within his
resources to bring in players that can help make Sunderland a respectable team within the Premier
League and keep them out of a relegation battle.

signed him. [...]
