Wolfsburg edged closer to booking a place in the knock-out round out the Champions League thanks to
a very positive performance on the pitch. Besiktas were consequently bundled out of the
competition, owing to an early goal from Zvjezdan Misimovic, and a late strike each from Christian
Gentner and Edin Dzeko.

Bayern Munich 0-2 Bordeaux -- A frustrating home loss for the Germans will add some more heat to
coach Louis Van Gaal's seat. Bayern will likely miss out of the round of 16 thanks to goals from
Yoann Gourcuff and Marouane Chamakh. The French team advanced.
Maccabi Haifa 0-1 Juventus -- The Italian side was riddled with injuries, but only needed a 45th
minute goal from Camoranesi for the road win.

Beşiktaş had their UEFA Champions League dreams look like a nightmare, at least in the first two
games. Although they had played well against Manchester United, and were average against CSKA
Moscow, they could not find ways to win, or even get a draw. The Black Eagles travelled up to
Germany to take on defending champions of the Bundesliga, VfL Wolfsburg.

expected a tough match and that is exactly what we got. Wolfsburg got off to a bright start; unlike
most teams who come to Old Trafford- Wolfsburg came out and attacked us.
No goals were scored in the first half but it wasn't a boring match to watch.
