BREAKING NEWS: Great ExPrektations

the yorkies 19 November @ 05:45 PM EST
To paraphrase Preki during his first TFC press conference - "he didn't blow smoke up anyone's... butt". Forgive Toronto supporters for smiling at that idea as we've been having our butts smoke blown (oh grow up) for three years plus. Most of that smoke has been blown by the other man at the press conference table today but in one of his main off-season duties, Mo Johnston succeeded. Click to continue reading...

MLS Cup Final Preview: Which Team has the Advantage?

Major League Soccer Talk 18 November @ 01:55 PM EST

Before the playoffs began, the consensus was that the teams in the Western Conference were more prepared to the lift the MLS Cup in Seattle on November 22nd. Little did we know then how prophetic that sentiment was, as we now have both entries in the Final representing the West. The Los Angeles Galaxy — the top seed out of the West entering the post-season — and Real Salt Lake — vanquishers of the best the East had to offer — face off at Qwest Field with the Philip F.

New Assistant Coach Rumor

We do not have any active discussions going on of note for the 20th team and certainly don't have any timetable for the 20th team.

U.S. call Clark, Holden and Castillo in for Denmark

With the Houston Dynamo knocked out of the MLS playoffs, Ricardo Clark and Stuart Holden were called in for the friendly against Denmark on Wednesday. MLS marketing mavens, your dream final is secure. Star power vs. star power as David Beckham and Kyle Beckerman will face each other next Sunday in Seattle.
