last years 16,459. It did, though, see a new record for attendance set by the expansion Seattle

There was a huge line just before the gates opened tonight at Arrowhead.
CD Guadalajara (Chivas) topped archrivals Club America 2-1 Wednesday night in front of a raucous
crowd of 26,119 in the Clasico Bud Light at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. America
opened the scoring in the 53rd minute before two late strikes propelled Chivas to a dramatic 2-1
win.

The high-profile friendly season was supposed to be over. Big European clubs had already come
and gone, staging exhibitions in front of nearly-sold out stadiums across the country. Kansas City
was one of few MLS markets that appeared to be left out.
News out of Kansas City is that this is about to change, with the Wizards announcing that
Arrowhead stadium will play host to a friendly of Club America and Chivas Guadalajara.

Columbus Crew defender Chad Marshall's 10th minute goal against FC Dallas earned him Player of the
Week honors for Week 22. This is his first Player of the Week award. Also on Monday, Chivas USA
announced Jesus Padilla is joining the club on loan from Chivas Guadalajara. "Jesus is a talented,

in San Francisco, reigning MLS Cup winner Columbus Crew was able to oust the San Jose Earthquakes

team went straight to the Intercontinental Hotel where they'll be staying for two days (apparently,
Spiderman star Tobey McGuire is also currently staying there), with a double training

Lionel Messi put on a performance in front of a sold out Qwest Field in Seattle on Wednesday
night. The Argentine had to battle the bad pitch with the grass being overgrown and hindering ball
movement but it took him 20 minutes to get the hang of things. He beat the Seattle keeper Keller in
the 20th with a shot from the corner of the box, just after Keller had denied him just minutes
earlier.
