The schedule for the group stage of the CONCACAF Champions League was released on Friday, with
the completion of the Caribbean qualifying tournament this week putting Puerto Rico Islanders in
the same group as the Galaxy again, Trinidadian side Caledonia AIA in the same group as the
Sounders and Trinidadian side W Connection in the same group as Chivas de Guadalajara and
Guatemalan side Xelaju.
If the Seattle Sounders are to advance to the knockout stage of a second straight CONCACAF
Champions League, they will have to win a group that includes Honduran power Marathon and an
undetermined team from the Caribbean, according to Tuesday's draw. The group's final team will be
the winner of the Caribbean championship, who will be one of the Puerto Rico Islanders, Antigua
Barracuda FC, W Connection and Caledonia AIA of Trinidad.
The draw for the new-look 2012-13 CONCACAF Champions League is out, and the MLS team that got
the furthest in 2011-12 will be reacquainted with its semifinal partner in the group stage.
Five MLS teams are spread across the eight three-team groups, and Toronto FC had the misfortune
of being drawn with Santos Laguna and Salvadoran side Aguila; Real Salt Lake is paired with Costa

unclear at the moment. When Chivas de Guadalajara owner Jorge Vergara bought out co-owner Antonio
Cue on Wednesday, it took a day for the Los Angeles Times to report that Vergara had dismissed
general manager Jose Domene.
Chivas USA owner Jorge Vergara has not wasted any time in making changes with his new-found
total control of the team.
A day after the Chivas USA and Chivas de Guadalajara owner purchased the other 50 percent of the
club from Antonio Cue to assume complete ownership of the club, Vergara fired general manager Jose
Domene, the Los Angeles Times reported on Thursday.
