U.S. men's national head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has released the first part of the roster that will take part in a training camp in Orlando later this month, and there are several veterans included and one big omission.

Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey have shared plenty of moments throughout their careers as the top two attacking threats of the U.S. men's national team, but they will not be celebrating together on Friday.

The two American stars are set to face off for the first time since 2006 when Everton and Fulham do battle in the fourth round of the FA Cup (3pm, Fox Soccer Channel).

The USA roster has changed a bit as three players have withdrawn and two are added. Timmy Chandler, Landon Donovan, and Jose Francisco Torres have been forced to withdraw from the squad due to injuries.

Michael Bradley's recent play has earned him headlines in the United States and in Italy, and he has another chance to earn some more when going up against a traditional Italian power on Friday.

Bradley's Chievo Verona hosts reeling Inter Milan with a chance to pull level with the Serie A giant on Friday as part of a weekend filled with top-notch fixtures both abroad and domestically.

The New England's Revolution's front line is making way for yet another new face.

The Revs signed Swedish striker Bjorn Runstrom on Wednesday, adding another player to a completely revamped attack. Runstrom joins Saer Sene, Jose Moreno, Fernando Cardenas and Blake Brettschneider as new forwards who have joined the club since the offseason.

With the arrival of Jozy Altidore this morning, the USA's 23-player travel roster is now complete and fully operational. After a walking tour of the city this morning, the team will hold a public training session tonight at the University of Maryland, then gets its first look at FedExField tomorrow evening.

This week saw some serious Coppa Italia action as the Serie A was put on hold. On Tuesday, Lazio fielded a side culled from both their first team and reserves against Serie B side Hellas Verona – a gamble for which they almost paid dearly. After securing a 2-0 lead, Lazio seemingly fell asleep, and Hellas got back into the game with two goals in the second half.

Sacha Kljestan and RSC Anderlecht returned to league action this weekend for the first time since December, and they both picked up right where they left off.

RSC Anderlecht continued its winning ways with a 3-0 victory over third-place Club Brugge on Sunday.

The Serie A wraps up the first half of the season this weekend, and Michael Bradley and Chievo Verona will be looking to end on a high note as they head south to take on U.S. Lecce.

As expected, US Men's National team coach Jurgen Klinsmann called a very Euro-based roster for next weeks friendly against Italy.

Only four MLS players were called up while the rest of the 21-man roster plays outside of the US. Some folks will be shocked not to see some of the usual Klinsmann guys like keeper Bill Hamid or midfielder Brek Shea, but the U23 national team also plays Mexico on the same day.

USMNT coach Jurgen Klinsmann has announced his 21-player roster for the upcoming friendly against Italy. The match will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 29 in Genoa and will be broadcast live by ESPN2, ESPN3 and Galavision from 2:45pm.

Puebla beware. Herculez Gomez is starting to get hot again.

Just as he has done so often in the past couple of years, Gomez is starting to put together a scoring run. He has found the back of the net three times for Santos Laguna in the past week-and-a-half, and will look to add to that this weekend when DaMarcus Beasley and Puebla come into town.

Michael Bradley has scored in a number of countries during his eight-year career, and he can now add Italy to the list.

Bradley opened his Serie A account this past Saturday when he placed a low shot to the bottom right corner of Chievo Verona's 3-2 win over Catania.

Fabian Johnson did something on Wednesday that he has not done much of in his career: He scored a goal.

The U.S. men's national team midfielder/defender contributed to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's lopsided victory over Hamburg SV on Wednesday, scoring the third goal in a 4-0 win.
