Cayman Islands FA president Jeffrey Webb is now the 4th president of the CONCACAF confederation. He
was the lone candidate for the position (29 nominations out of the 40 members) and was voted by
acclamation at the CONCACAF congress in Budapest today. Webb has the administrative experience from
years of service at the national FA, CFU, CONCACAF, and FIFA committees, and has accumulated the
contacts that go along with such service.
Liverpool has reportedly made a sensational approach to former manager Rafa Benitez over a
potential return to the club.
As reported by the Mirror, Liverpool chiefs have sounded out the Spaniard, after being rejected by
Swansea City boss Brendan Rogers and former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola in their hunt for a new

Does the Kansas City Royals poor start to the season hurt, help, or not matter to Sporting KC's
success off the field?
For those that don't watch a ton of baseball (myself included), the Kansas City Royals are in
the midst of a very long losing streak right now. Eleven straight losses, ten of those at home,
not the way that you want to start a season that many felt would finally see the Royals be a little
more competitive in the Central Division.
Sporting KC has a new trialist in camp according to reports. Sacir Hot, the former New York Red
Bulls home grown player, was waived by the Red Bulls last week. Hot was signed by the Red Bulls
last January as a home grown and appeared in two US Open Cup games for the Red Bulls, his only 2
first team appearances for the Red Bulls.
Arsenal will tour the Far East taking in Seoul, Beijing and Hong Kong in the summer, it can be
revealed.
Gunners chiefs are in talks with Far East parties to finalise the jaunt having already sealed a
deal to play a friendly match in Nigeria.
With exposing the brand to global markets key to Arsenal's business strategy, gone are the days
when Arsène Wenger could take the squad to Austria to take the Alpine air and prepare for the
season ahead.

Why Liverpool chiefs should forget about appealing the Suarez ruling
The findings, in black and white, are more damning. Now the claims of a "kangaroo court" are
exposed, the clouds swept away. And while Liverpool and Luiz Suarez retain the right of appeal, it
is hard to see on what grounds they would.

Now safely ensconsed in the Deltras hot seat, new coach Jorg Steinbrunner, formerly of Woodlands
Wellington, Sengkang Punggol, Etoile and Medan Chiefs, is wasting no time bringing in a couple of
familiar faces.
Former Woodlands and Medan Chiefs Abdelhadi Laakkad is a Moroccan striker who scores goals, as
opposed to Chamakh who is a Moroccan striker who gets pushed off the ball way too easily.
Sidoarjo Deltras are reportedly close to securing the services of a foreign coach for next season
even though it is not yet clear what level of competition they will be in.
They aren't revealing the identity of the new guy, only hinting that he is German and has his own
football academy in Singapore.

So it's pretty much a known fact that Emmanuel Adebayor is a dead cert to leave Manchester City.
Manager Roberto Mancini admitted that the sooner the Togolese striker leaves the club; the better
is the opinion of the Italian. Adebayor already wants his move to Real Madrid, where he spent the
latter half of last season on loan.
For the often-maligned CONCACAF region, Mexico's victory in the U-17 World Cup was a big deal.
South American and European teams have dominated men's soccer for generations, so the raw emotion
of just under 100,000 screaming Mexican fans provided an excellent advertisement for the region to
FIFA chiefs in attendance.
Walworth Big Foot-Williams Bay won its first Rock Valley Conference girls soccer championship

And two of the anchors of that defense, junior goalkeeper Katie Pearce and

One player missing from the squad, despite having been called up initially, is Medan Chiefs Shahril
Ishak. The Medan Chiefs play in the breakaway Liga Primer Indonesia which, under the old PSSO
regime, was not recognised and was effectively an illegal league not recognised by PSSI, AFC and
them doyens of transparency and fairness, FIFA.
Jorg Steinbrunner is not put off Indonesian football after his short spell with Medan Chiefs where
he was given the heave ho for refusing to accept interference in team affairs. The German who also
coached Woodlands Wellington and Sengkang Punggol is reported locally to interesting Divisi Utama
side Persikabo who are already looking ahead to the new season.
