Manchester United's season tickets sales have fallen for the first time in two decades.
Over 51,000 season tickets were sold for this season a drop of 2,000 for the same time in previous
seasons.
Although ticket sales are more than most clubs it seems United have been a victim of the credit
crunch.

Aston Villa released a statement via their official website last night to confirm that they have
appointed Gerard Houllier as their new manager. The Frenchman succeeds
Martin O'Neill, who resigned from the post five days before the Premier League
season was due to start.

setting up a financial foundation for supporter-led investment in the club.
The society has teamed up with the Merseyside-based Partners Credit Union to provide a safe house
