Qualifying. The match is important for both teams who have not clinched a spot to next year's World

It was ugly, the USA losing to Costa Rica 3-1, and some say the goals against the USA could have
been much worse if Costa Rica did not let up.
Let's face it, a team without a solid defense is pretty hopeless. USA fans will want to love

Steve Cherundolo will have hip surgery next week in Germany to fix a problem that has kept him out
of action for the last four games, his club Hannover 96 reports. Cherundolo featured in games on
Feb. 28 and March 7 for Hannover, but the problem has plauged him since early January. He will be
out for several weeks.

Michael Bradley opened his Bundesliga account as Borussia Monchengladach fought back for a 2-2 draw
against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
Bradley started the game in midfield for 'Gladbach, who went behind early to a Luca Toni goal.
Bayern added to their lead in the 65th minute courtesy of a penalty from Frank Ribery.
