Cheltenham were given a lesson in basic football skills by a well prepared Crewe Alexandra. Dario
Gradi is one of - if not the - longest serving managers in any of the leagues. He sent out a solid
and disciplined side who kept their shape, passed well, defended in strength when needed and made
the most of their opportunities.

league team. Whilst dramas are reported daily from the dizzy heights of premier league they still
seem remote. Down in the basement its personal and up close. Someone knows someone who's on the

Another one-all home draw shouldn't really be grounds for optimism. Cheltenham have not won at home
since the opening game of the season. But I enjoyed this match. In fact, I never once needed
cardiac massage and left feeling thoroughly entertained.

hysterical musings about what will, might or could be. To become exercised by the reports of who is
having a trial for Cheltenham Town FC or is on the brink of signing a contract is wasted energy.
It's best to start the worrying at around about 4.

Cheltenham's schools are emptying and the traffic is thinning out. Last week's heat reminded us
that we really should turn our backs on town life until September. But it seems like the 2009-10
season is beginning to stir.

Cheltenham Town FC has been relegated to the fourth tier of the English football league system
after the club's 1-1 draw against Carlisle United at Abby Business Stadium. The club will compete
in Coca-Cola League Two for the 2009-10 season.
Manager Martin Allen noted on the club's website, "I wish season wasn't ending.

for England to kick off preseason training with the club.
On loan for most of last season with Cheltenham Town F.C., the Canadian youth international spoke
about his experience with the Robins as well as his outlook with the Seasiders for the 2008-2009
campaign.
