James Copeland scored as the Regis University men's soccer team tied the 15th-ranked Colorado
School of Mines on Friday in Denver.
Regis remained unbeaten in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. The Rangers' record is 4-2-3
overall, 2-0-3 in conference.
"Whenever you play Mines, it is going to be a tough match, especially when they are ranked in
the Top 15," Regis coach Tony McCall said.
Marissa Davis scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Regis University women's soccer team
to a 2-0 win over Colorado-Colorado Springs on Wednesday evening at Mountain Lion Stadium in the
Springs.
The match was rescheduled from Oct. 11, when an ice storm left the pitch unplayable. The makeup
conditions were little better, with temperatures at 29 degrees and a stiff breeze blowing snow from
the north.
DENVER – Becca Mays is the type of player who makes her teammates better, and she showed it on
Friday against Regis University. Mays didn't score any of her team's goals, but had a hand in all
of them as the Metropolitan State College women's soccer team scored three quick goals in the
second half for a 3-0 victory at Auraria Field in downtown Denver.
