The news that Chris Rolfe was leaving at the end of the season for Denmark came out a couple months
ago, but Jack Bell over at the New York Times had a long article that touched on the topic
yesterday:
Rolfe said that Aalborg, known as AaB, attempted to buy him from the league last
summer, but M.

For his potty mouthed outburst following Argentina's win over Uruguay. (translation)
Here is an even more graphic video.
Till three weeks ago, Maradona remained unrepentant.
"I was getting it off my chest, and I don't regret it," Maradona said. "I gave my mother a
kiss on the forehead and told her: 'If I was wrong I ask your forgiveness, but nobody
else'.

Chris Hughton doesn't know how much money will be available in the transfer market in Jnauary, but
he really doesn't need to. Chris Hughton cheer up Chris we're top of the league! We have a
suspicion the amount available for transfers is actually zero, or very close to it. But that may
not be all bad [.

1. Goooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllll
It would be fair to say that Kelvin Koogan's 'love it!' rant on Sky was our nailed on Number One

Francesco Capone (Torontor, Ontario)
I took some time to chat with Francesco after the Creighton game Wednesday evening. He's a freshman
from Shattuck-St Mary, a high school in Minnesota that has been featured on national TV for their
sports programs. Like my conversation with David Buckenheimer, I'm very impressed by the
professional attitude these young men are taking about the game and the results.

No disrespect to the intelligent, knowledgeable CUAS readership here, but I bet there's hardly any
of you who know who Ilunga Mwepu is.
In the 1970s he played his club football for TP Mazembe and he now lives in Malta, where he is an
assistant coach in the Adelaide Cini Championship with Girgenti Athletic.

The Los Angeles Galaxy are finally in playoff contention for the first time since signing
English star David Beckham. The midfielder joined the team in the middle of the season after
finishing his load with Serie A side AC Milan. The question is how has Beckham done with the LA
Galaxy since returning and his effect on Major League Soccer.

4. All The Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
John Motson is 64, you know. If you'd ask me, mind, I'd have said that due to his increasingly
inconsistent commentary he was nearer 75. We love a bit of Motty, but he's been gradually losing
the plot as he has aged, and his increasingly hyperbolic commentary has led me to race into my
living room at many a time only for someone to have won a boring corner.

The football video industry has been a rich source of income over the years as "celebrities" from
Nick Hancock to Gary Lineker host their stocking-filleresque "Football Gaffe" DVDs. These
variations on a theme generally feature utterly hilarious moments of people standing on the ball
and scoring own goals.

8. "A Match Already Being Described As 'On This Sunday'"
It would be fair to say that Sky Sports are prone to a little bit of over-enthusiasm about their
range of live football. Their 'Grand Slam Sunday' was my particular favourite, considering football
doesn't have a 'grand slam' and that whoever triumphed in such an event would have to presumably
win four matches in different parts of the world at different times of the year.

9. Schteeeeeeve McLaren talks jibberish
No-one really blamed Steve McLaren for moving abroad after the wally-brolly failure of England to
qualify for Euro 2008. In a path trodden by his one of his predecessors, Bobby Robson, the
ex-England boss ran to the relative safety of the Eredivisie after his international experiences to
take charge of little known FC Twente.

Pistolas F.C. 10 September @ 06:41 PM EST
MARKHAM - This story probably should've ran two weeks ago, but on the heels of his pending
departure and absence over the next two games (yes he'll miss the semi's and the finals), it is
only fitting that the club pay tribute to the new King at Pistolas FC: Steve Ward.
Almost as if in a coup d'etat fashion, Steve Ward took advantage of a crippled leader, Charles, and
surpassed him for the All-Time Goalscoring Title, notching his 11th career goal in the final game
of the season versus Inter Selects.

Though Craig Bellamy only spent the second half of the 2005 season on loan with Celtic from
Newcastle, his Old Firm ties are apparently still strong enough that he refused to sign a Rangers
fan's shirt ahead of Manchester City friendly with the Scottish champions yesterday.
The lingering animosity is clearly still mutual, though, as Bellamy accused Rangers striker Lee
McCulloch of fouling him to get a cheer from the home fans:
"I expected to get stick from the Rangers fans.

The Band of Brothers
The first part of the season offered little cheer. Apart from the signing of David Moyes to a
new 5 year contract, overall, Everton appeared to be in decline. It was only the poor showing from
the rest of the league that meant Everton were not already involved in a relegation battle.

Morning all. Well, it was pretty bloody awful wasn't it? This match is like Chlamydia, it's awful
and disgusting and yet it just will not go away. While I'll admit to not being confident heading

give ourselves a chance to prove we could hold them off, but I was wrong.
