On the Monday before she joined the U.S. team in Dallas to fly to Cancun for Women's World Cup
qualifying, star striker Abby Wambach was in Bristol, Conn., filming a This is SportsCenter
commercial.
Brandi Chastain knows the meaning of the word "retirement." She just doesn't use it.
"The idea of retiring -- it's just not a word that's in my vocabulary," Chastain said in a phone
interview a week or so after she was released by FC Gold Pride.

Brandi Chastain does not even require an introduction. She took the time to answer a few
questions about the NCAA Women's Soccer College Cup, and the Capital One Cup, which she is a part
of as a member of the Board of Advisors.
