Celtic's constantly controversial goalkeeper Artur Boruc is at it once again, and for the second
time the subject matter is a provocative tattoo. The Polish goalkeeper has revealed yet another
tattoo aimed at infuriating Rangers fans. This time instead of words on his neck it's a monkey on
his stomach, and what better time to reveal his new ink than after Celtic defeated bitter rivals
Rangers 2-1 on Tuesday evening at Parkhead.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has stepped up the chase for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi
Martinez.
Martinez, 21, has been on Liverpool's radar for the past two seasons but Benitez is putting
together his hit-list for next season.
Liverpool sent a scout to watch Martinez at Atletico Madrid last Thursday and Bilbao are well aware
of Benitez's interest.
Sky Sports are reporting that we have confirmed that Robinho is set to leave the club on a short
term basis, but perhaps not to Santos as has been widely reported:
Santos had also stated they were confident of tying up a loan deal for the unsettled forward to
return to his homeland.

For the Seattle Sounders, there will be one positive difference from last season: Blaise N'Kufo
arrives July 13, the team announced this week.
Beyond that, one thing is quite clear: The 2010 Sounders, as they are now, are far removed from
the 2009 club as far as level of play.
From Major League Soccer Soccer dot com:
"Greek club Aris FC say they have ended their transfer pursuit of Fulham striker Eddie Johnson
after signing his former FC Dallas running mate Carlos Ruiz on Monday.
The club had been trying to land the 26-year-old US international on a permanent switch since
his loan deal with the Greek club expired last month, but the Cottagers' price tag forced them to
shop for a cheaper option.
In the end justice was done but the officials made this one hell of a lot harder than it should
have been. We were cruising a goal up and a second appeared almost an inevitability. Then the key
moment came, a hopeful punt through saw Vermaelen ahead in a chase with Franco, the two players
were shoulder to shoulder.
Midnight tonight Central European Time is the deadline for World Cup teams to submit their
preliminary 30 man World Cup rosters. From there they'll have to cut the squads down to 23 by June
1st. So if you're not in the 30, you're not in the 23. Which means today is the day it all starts
to take shape.

It is January and that means it is time for another silly season.
Will Arsenal look for more help for captain Cesc Fabregas as they chase Premier League
glory?
Clubs will try to find cover for some injuries and some help in needed areas.
Title-chasing teams will be looking for that final piece or two, relegation threatened teams
will try to stay up.
A number of Premier League clubs have been alerted by the much publicized fall-out between Jeremy
Menez and his manager Claudio Ranieri at Roma. The French star is highly-rated but has never
fulfilled his early promise shown at Sochaux and Monaco. However, Menez is still only 22-years-old
and there are a number of Premier League clubs eyeing a potential move with Liverpool the team
named as leading the chase in the Italian press.
Just about all of England -- even Man City fans -- held their breath at the sight of Wayne Rooney
limping off the field during the UEFA Champions League match against Bayern Munich on Tuesday. Once
again another foot injury. A scan revealed a first-degree ankle sprain which, according to the
Daily Telegraph, could see Rooney out of action for up to a month.
The latest installation of the Manchester Derby will be played at Eastlands this weekend, and as
usual, the stakes are high.
This will be the 155th meeting in all competitions, and United has the edge with 63 wins to
City's 42. There have also been 49 draws, a result that won't be good enough for the Red Devils in
their chase for a fourth consecutive Premier League title.
The fifteenth round of the 2010 Torneo Clausura features not one but two clásicos, both played on
Sunday. By the time they swing round, any of Godoy Cruz, Independiente or Estudiantes will have had
the chance to claim the leadership in the chase for the league title I'll be at River vs Godoy on

GARY Cahill has admitted for the first time that he would leave the Reebok this summer
if the right offer came along.
A string of top clubs are said to be monitoring the 24-year-old defender, who still harbours
hope of making England's squad for this summer's World Cup.
The title is still up for grabs, but so is The Golden Boot - handed to the Premier League's top
scorer.
And we have a new wrinkle in the chase for the league's top goalscoring award: Frank Lampard has
handed penalty duties to Didier Drogba for Chelsea's last match against Wigan.
Lampard's fantasy value is thus reduced since a whopping 8 of his goals (8 goals x 5 fantasy points
= 40 points) have come from the spot this season.
Everton and Liverpool are competing to sign Ajax centre-back Jan Vertonghen.
Goodison boss David Moyes is eager to land the Belgium international, who has inspired his club to
the Dutch FA Cup and second place in the league.
And Toffees officials have tabled an opening £9m bid for the 23-year-old, which Ajax turned down -
but they are willing to accept £11m for him.

The Double: The Chelsea Season review 2009 -2010' is released on DVD,
commemorating the first time Chelsea FC won both the Premiership title and the FA Cup.
The film shows every one of the 103 goals scored in the Premier league in what was the most
exhilarating chase for the Premiership title in recent history, leaving just a point between
Chelsea and runner's up Manchester United when the final whistle blew.
Toulouse youngster Moussa Sissoko continues to court interest from around Europe, though talk of a
move to the Premier League has escalated, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur continuing to lead
the chase from England, while Olympique Lyonnais maintain a French interest in the dynamic
midfielder.
From the moment the Cesc Fabregas transfer saga started, there have been various counter
accusations from both Arsenal and Barcelona fans. Blogs are the medium of communication in the
modern world and promptly became the battle ground between Gunner and Cules. I believe the whole
story started with Guillem Balague writing about a meeting that has taken place between Fabregas
and Arsene Wenger He reported that Fabregas requested Wenger to allow him to move to Barca.
Because I've got nothing on our pulseless ex-Veep, I thought I'd share some WPS news. It's
certainly gotten a lot more interesting and gratifying for Breakers fans, as they continued their
lossless streak against Philly this past Sunday. Yes, it was a draw ... but Boston remains one of
the few teams that the Independence haven't beaten this year.
Just in time for the new season, kicking off at lunchtime today, here's the last of
twohundredpercent's pre-season previews: the SPL.
Daft as it might sound for a league with only twelve teams, there are four separate battles or
mini-leagues going on within the SPL these days. The title race which has long since been
restricted to the big two; the battle for third, which I almost think of as the real Scottish
Championship; the chase for any remaining spots in the top six, which might sound pretty trivial
but it's about extra revenue post-split as well as the chance to chase a European spot; and lastly
the struggle to avoid the single relegation spot.
Belgian international Moussa Dembele has left AZ Alkmaar in Holland and sealed a dream move to
the EPL with Fulham.
The 23-year-old striker signed a three-year deal and will fight for a starting spot with Bobby
Zamora and Andrew Johnson. Dembele had a very successful Four-year spell in Holland, catching the
eye on several occasions in league play and also in European competition.
Over the weekend, there were two new MLS debuts. First, San Jose's new designated player, the
Brazilian Geovanni came on as a sub in the 1-0 win over the LA Galaxy. Later on that night,
once-capped American Sal Zizzo (signed via the beloved weighted lottery) also made a substitute
appearance for Chivas in their 1-0 loss to Dallas.
This summer new Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho expressed his desire to add one more superstar
striker to his artillery and following one match we can see why. Real Madrid was unable to score
today in their debut league match of the season against Mallorca and the club has already fallen
two points behind rivals Barcelona.
Just a couple of thoughts at the half here. We're scoreless, down a man, and lucky to be on even
terms:
- What the f*** was Segares thinking trying to land an overhand right on a corner-kick scrum? I
admit the run was looking threatening, but it may be time to break out the old 'Gonzo' nickname if
he's going to make brain-dead decisions like that.
Poor old Ilkeston Town. They bit the dust over a debt of just £47,000 and it seems unlikely
that they will be the last to be made to suffer this way. There will be plenty more clubs that find
themselves at the High Court on The Strand in London having hunted down the back of the
metaphorical sofa, gambling the very existence of their institution after having skipped paying one
of their most basic obligations: their tax bill.
Just like Carlos Tevez before him, Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney could soon
find himself at Eastlands on the Blue side of Manchester.
Media out of the U.K. including The Daily Mail speculate that Rooney has informed his
teammates the he could be moving to Manchester City.
Earlier in the season we conducted an interview with Greg Lalas, the editor-in-chief of
MLSSoccer.com. The trials and tribulations of the launch of the new site are well documented, but
there has been some significant improvement over the course of the year. Putting those issues
aside, we thought it worth taking a look at some of the business aspects of the site.
Via Italian online media reports, Arsenal has joined London rivals Tottenham along with Manchester
United in the chase for the 26-year-old German international centre back.
In the the report, it is noted that Werder Bremen value the defender at 15 million Euros.

Arsenal's upcoming match up against Barcelona in the Champions League has grown lots of
pessimism in England regarding the Gunner's chances in getting through from the knock out round as
in the past few meetings with the Spanish side, Arsene Wenger's team have always comes out
short.
Despite there's un obvious fear about their chances, the London club's skipper, Cesc Fabregas,
tried to calm the nerves of his teammates and supported by claiming that their team still have a
shot on the meeting.
I have goodies to chase and a game of my own later, but I am working on a column for S365 for
later. For now, I'll occupy you all with some TV that won't rot your brains...We have another
skilled pitch invader, this time in Indonesia. I include 101 Great Goals' post that explains the
form of protest that makes this invasion more charming than the norm.
As entertaining as it is to watch a "top four" mid-table team implode from the board-room outwards,
the novelty starts to wear off after seven league losses, 4 draws and the constant inability to see
out a match without conceding in the dying minutes. It's comparable to watching a donkey chase a
dangling carrot down [.
With our top four chase fluctuating, there's a very real chance that the F.A. Cup may represent our
only chance of genuine success this season. Of course, such success is still months away. But
victory today over Leeds would take us a good step closer. Our apparent blase attitude towards the
cup is no doubt a result of being drawn with Man Utd at this stage for the last few seasons.
Sky Sports is reporting this morning that Bolton Wanderers are set to win the chase to sign Arsenal
teenager Jack Wilshere on loan. Jack Wilshere - on loan to Bolton And Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
has confirmed that the midfielder is poised to clinch a temporary move away from Emirates Stadium
within the next couple of days.
Harry's snared his first January victim. Eidur Gudjohnsen has been snapped up on a loan deal until
the end of the season. Well, there's been nothing official on the Spurs site but the media are choc
full of quotes from Redknapp, claiming it's a done deal. Apparently, he plays for Monaco? Call me
ignorant but I had no idea and neither did several friends - we thought he still played for
Barcelona.
Citeh supporter who wishes he'd never gone for a Brazilian Manchester City fan Chris Atkinson has
been stung not once, but twice by his club's transfer policy. Upon hearing the hype surrounding
City's chase for Kaka, Chris wisely decided to get the player's name tattooed on his chest. Before
the player had signed anything, naturally.
There's a wave of optimism spreading across the east end of Glasgow. Tony Mowbray has strengthened
his side considerably, bringing in three strikers and two defenders as he continues the chase for
his first league title since becoming Celtic boss. The gap between Mowbray and Walter Smith remains
ten points, but with Rangers selling rather than [.
Two quick follow-ups on this morning's dispatch on diversity, a concept that doesn't suck at
all.
First, see how you can get in trouble when you don't practice safe diversity, kids? What was
Vanity Fair thinking?
And then there is occasional need to "diversify," which is "diversity's" naughty little
cousin.
