Aston Villa and Liverpool appeared to be playing out a draw at Villa Park as both sides failed
to convert the chances to clinch all three points in this top four chase until Fernando Torres
popped up with a late winner.
Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina pulled off the save of the match as Stewart Downing failed to find
the back of the net from close range.

Real Madrid beat Marseille 3-0 at the Bernabeu earlier this season and Marseille will need to
better that winning margin if they want a chance to progress to the next round in the Champions
League.
Pacos Ferreira opened Week 13 with a surprise win over 4th place Nacional, giving the visiting a
dent in their hopes as the chase the league leaders. Pacos opened the scoring just before the end
of the first half when William scored with a blast into the left corner at the 41st minute.
Nacional brought the game back to even when Amuneke tap in the ball at the 54th minute but Pacos
regained
Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has reiterated that he will not be leaving Ajax before the World Cup
finals.
The 22-year-old is the leading scorer in Holland by some margin, with 18 to his name already this
term.
This has seen the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United linked with him, though Chelsea are
believed to be leading the chase for his services.
Liverpool secured a crucial three points at home to Wigan thanks to goals from David Ngog and
Fernando Torres. Rafa Benitez will be glad to have captured a win in their chase for a top four
finish and now Liverpool will be hoping to continue to make up ground in the coming weeks after a
well deserved win over the Latics.

they get drilled by Arsenal 3-0 setting them back in their chase to jump up into the 3rd position
on the Premier League Table. This indicates a few things about how Arsenal and AstonVilla are
