Manchester United are through to the Youth Cup quarter-final following a 5-1 victory over
Swansea. Gyliano van Velzen scored twice and the other goals came from Jack Barmby, Sam Byrne and
Tyler Blackett. Barmby and Blackett particularly shone.
United will now play against the winners of the Charlton and Tottenham tie on a fortnight.

A below par performance from Boro put a dampener on a nice day out in the Capital. Second half
goals from Michael Morrison and Bradley Wright-Phillips were enough to give Charlton the 3 points,
but in truth the scoreline could have been much worse for the visitors, who had Chris Day to thank
for keeping it respectable.
