From the US Soccer website:
This week Davies who is out of the ICU will undergo surgery to repair a broken left elbow, and
may require operations to deal with facial fractures.
Meanwhile you can email your good wishes to him at:

Charlie Davies seems to be recovering well after undergoing additional surgeries to repair a
broken left elbow and stabilize facial fractures earlier this week. He sat up in bed and took his
first steps. His rehabilitation has begun and could take 6 months to a year.
Gooch underwent surgery to repair his patellar tendon this Wednesday.
Charlie Davies was in serious but stable condition after several hours of surgery following a
deadly car accident that claimed the life of 22 year old Ashley J Roberta.
Although the injuries suffered by Davies were not life threatening they were serious enough that
his playing career could be threatened.
The injuries sound nasty - but there is a note of optimism.
Read the update here.
The U.S. has not added a player to the roster for tonight's final WCQ in the wake of the
accident.
Costa Rica needs a win tonight in Washington to ensure it reaches South Africa; a U.S. win would
ensure it finishes top of the group.
From the US Soccer website:
Davies suffered a lacerated bladder and fractures to the tibia and femur bones in his right leg.
He also suffered facial fractures and a left elbow fracture. Davies was air-lifted to the hospital
where a team of doctors first repaired a ruptured bladder and then inserted titanium rods in both
the tibia, the bone in the lower leg, and the femur, which is the thigh bone, with no
complications.
As I'm sure most of you now know, U.S. National Team forward Charlie Davies is in serious but
stable condition after surviving a one car accident in which another person was killed. Davies
underwent five hours of surgery Tuesday to repair a lacerated bladder, fractured femur, fractured
tibia, left elbow fracture and facial fractures.
So as I wait for tomorrow to arrive (Arsenal-Chelsea? Real Madird-Barcelona? Oh my!) I thought
I'd share a couple of links with you guys to move your day along. Here we go...
Jimmy Bullard has a sit down with his teammates
After scoring a late equalizer for Hull during their match at Manchester City this morning, you
wouldn't have thought that midfielder Jimmy Bullard would have felt the need to have a sit down
meeting with his teammates.
