There are moments in a football life that live forever. We all have them -Micky T at Anfield, TA6′s goal v Everton, TH14′s v MU, Dennis at Newcastle or Freddie in Cardiff. But it is the childhoood memories which really stand out and for me they are often connected to the '70-'71 Double team. One of my favourite ever goals was scored by one of my early heroes George Graham.

Appreciation

The legends descended on the hallowed turf of the Grove. This is probably the first time that I've ever used hallowed turf and new-ish stadium in the same sentence. For me (and I'm sure many others too), Highbury remained the truly real Arsenal stadium. However, with each match/season and the growing memories, not forgetting the continual Arsenalisation of the stadium, Emirates Stadium is turning into home.

It was once the home of one of Australia's finest teams based in Sydney's southern suburbs, St. George Budapest (who later became St. George Saints), playing in Australia's then-leading professional division, the National Soccer League (they won the league in 1983). The club had a rich history, having supplied almost half of Australia's 1974 World Cup team.

My favourite goal of all time, probably every Arsenal fans favourite goal. There have been plenty more beautiful (TH v MU 2000) but certainly none more dramatic.

At last this boring International break is coming to an end and we can look forward to some Arsenal Angst this weekend. Faced with another non-Arsenal news day I thought I'd have a look in the archives and see what this week had been about in times gone past. It turned out that this week 11th to 18th October is historically really very exciting.

Supposing former Lee Hendrie does decide to come and play for Bandung in the Liga Primer Indonesia. How would Indonesian football benefit from his presence? It won't of course beyond an aroma of glamour through having a fairly recognizable face linked with the unofficial league.

Given Indonesian fans' devotion to Manchester United, Liverpool or Chelsea it's highly probable that Hendrie would have long slipped from the public consciousness and it is highly inlikely there are a significant number of Villa fans in Bandung who would make him feel welcome in the city of factory outlets and Brownies.
