Or maybe they can just plead ignorance? Perhaps they'll have changed it by now, so I grabbed a
screenshot from Grant Wahl's recap just in case. Quick! What's wrong with this picture? Or rather,
the caption... Whoops! Heck, the .jpg is even named...
The USMNT faced El Salvador in a CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier tonight in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Oguchi Onyewu out for sushi with the lads. I fully support his decision to get rid of the corn rows
and go with a buzz cut. Muchos caliente! The boys from the USA keep fans up to date with their day
to day activities via Twitter. Today, Charlie Davies posted a few photos from the past few days

Oh to be physically fit. I've eaten so much pulled pork this summer that I wouldn't be able to do
more than one of this drills before having to sit down. Some sad sh*t y'all. Maybe I should join my
wife on her current veganism kick?
It's always encouraging when you field a bad team and win on the road. It took some luck —
Cornell Glenn hitting the crossbar, Ricardo Clark turning into Steven Gerrard for a split second
— but the United States beating Trinidad and Tobago 1-0, is a result the Americans probably had
to get.
But let me reiterate, this team Bob Bradley selected was bad.
"It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times?!?" -- Mr. Burns, "Last Exit to Springfield."
No lie, right now I feel like one of those monkey's chained to Mr. Burns'typewriter tasked to write
the greatest novel ever written. My mind is going a mile a minute following the U.S. National
Team's heart-attack-inducing 2-1 win over El Salvador Saturday night in CONCACAF 2010 qualifying in
Sandy
Hey Prilosec, you need somebody to film a new ad for your little purple pill?Right now my stomach
is so rocky it might be able to smelt down gold. Wednesday night's U.S. must-win 2010 qualifier at
Trinidad & Tobago isn't helping matters. Hopefully after the 90 minutes are up, Jozy and the boys
will have sliced through Gordian Knot at put me at ease.
U.S. Soccer is sleeping y'all. They are just dropping U.S. v. TNT post-game interviews
today...don't they know how timely this this stuff is?
It was another full weekend of matches for Americans playing abroad in the top European leagues.
In the French Ligue 1, Carlos Bocanegra was with Stade Rennais and Charlie Davies for Sochaux.
Steve Cherundolo for Hannover 96 played in the German Bundesliga while Kenny Cooper continues to
have an impact for Bundesligs 2 side 1860 Munich.
Since thinking through results of soccer matches require a fair bit of perspective, and I'm
often in need of some emotional detachment . . . I'm going to try offering a view double-sided
view of the US v. El Salvador game (and maybe others) via a glass half-empty vs. glass
half-full analogy.
Is it ironic that Soccernet only uses foreigners to discuss Americans playing overseas?
