Why wouldn't MLS players dominate the January MLS Camp though? MLS season is long over and
doesn't start up anytime real soon. On Wednesday, February 11th the US MNT plays in Columbus
against rivals Mexico in the first game of the last round of World Cup qualifying. The US has
had good success against Mexico in Columbus and should continue that success in next month.

The first U.S. men's national team match of the year is finally set to kick off this Saturday
(8:30pm, FSC/Galavision) and while most of the national team's top players won't be there to
face Sweden, the match should still give us a chance to see some of the top young U.
Somewhat lost in the drama of the past two weeks (Milan starry-eyed over Becks! Donovan wows in
desert- and snow-bound friendlies! SuperDraft! MLS training camps open!) is the fact that we're
closing in on the Annual Scandanavian Scrub Challenge, wherein a US B-side, consisting of MLS and
out-of-season Euro-players take on the domestic best of some random Scandanavian nation.
