Newcastle have surprisingly been ordered to pay Le Havre compensation for Charles N'Zogbia, nearly
three years after Charles moved to Newcastle from the French club. The left winger joined Newcastle
from Le Havre on 2nd September, 2004 but the two clubs have been locked in a dispute over the
player ever since. Charles N'Zogbia Le Havre have always [.
When Newcastle first signed Sam Allardyce on as manager there was certainly a lot of hope with the
Newcastle supporters that Sam would be an excellent manager. Here was a man who had got Bolton
Wanderers into Europe with precious little money available to him. If he was to get a lot more
money at Newcastle [...]
Newcastle striker Andy Carroll hasn't scored yet for Preston North End in the Championship but he
took just 15 minutes to score last night with a close range effort for the England Under-19s
against Belarus at Nottingam. This was Andrew's debut on the international stage and what a nice
way to start. The England Under-21 team had [...]
Newcastle's Czech defender David Rozehnal is confident of being fit to face West Ham on Sunday.
David told www.nufc.co.uk yesterday that he is in some discomfort following Monday night's game,
but is still hoping to be in the line-up against West Ham United this weekend. Let's see what
David, who's one of Sam's very best captures of [...]
Last week in Austria Sam sat down with a number of players to have a one-on-one talk with them. One
of those players - whose career at Newcastle didn't look too promising at the end of last season
was Charles N'Zogbia. Charles didn't seem to perform well for Glenn Roeder and at the end of the
season [...]
Sam Allardyce thought Charles N'Zogbia had an excellent defensive game at left back when he first
played him in that position against Carlisle United a couple of weeks ago. Charles again showed his
adaptability yesterday when he played left back again against Serie A club Sampdoria in the first
half before moving to his more familiar position [...]
Charles N'Zogbia has spoken of his delight at earning his first call-up to the France Under 21
team. The Newcastle star, who signed a new five-year deal with the club earlier this week, has been
rewarded for a great start to the season by being called up by the French Under-21 squad for the
very first [...]
When you have a club with a manager truly interested in the welfare of his players what do you get?
You get the players performing well and enjoying their football and there's a lot of that going on
right now at Newcastle since Big Sam Allardyce took over as manager last May. An excellent case in
point [...]
Newcastle's James Milner, our 21-year-old winger, holds the record for the most number of Under-21
caps – currently standing at 32. That number is also likely to increase since James, like captain
Steven Taylor, are eligible to play for England Under-21s until the final of the current European
Under-21 tournament, which end in the summer of [...]
We thought that Charles N'Zogbia was quite happy to stay at Newcastle under the new regime led by
Sam Allardyce and Chris Mort. It appears as though that was not correct as the Evening Chronicle
today reports that Charles is still unsettled at Newcastle. Charles N'Zogbia The player's
representative Willie McKay has already met Sam Allardyce for talks [.
It was rather a surprise when Charles N'Zogbia was named at left back by Sam Allardyce for the game
at Carlisle on Saturday. In the past we might have expected Charles to have been unhappy at being
played out of position again. But not so – Sam was full of praise for Charles' play on Saturday
[...]
Charles N'Zogbia has been in sparkling form for Newcastle United this season, albeit in an unusual
position for him, left-back. But he has looked so good in that position, and has still been able to
get forward to score two excellent goals in the first three games. We think he's been Newcastle's
best performer along with another [...]
As the weeks go by, it gets tougher and tougher to find a diamond in the rough, the key things to
look for are opponents, whether or not the player is playing at home, if they are due for a big
match, and if they haven't played a lot recently be appear to be getting a rare chance to shine.
With that in mind, here's who stands out to me. Per usual Yahoo!
More good news from the Official Newcastle United Site this morning says that young Frenchman
Charles N'Zogbia, who has been in terrific form this season, has signed a new contract with the
club. Charles has committed his future to Newcastle United after signing a new 5 year improved
contract at the club. And to think the odds [...]
Charles N'Zogbia was ready to leave the club after the last day of last season when he had another
confrontation with then manager Glenn Roeder. Fans expected him to leave but when Sam Allardyce
came in as manager Charles has worked very hard in training and produced the best form ever at
Newcastle. So much so that [...]
Charles N'Zogbia seemed to play fairly well during the first half against Spurs on Monday night,
but the Frenchman was withdrawn at half time because he was feeling ill.Of course, as we now know
young James Milner came on and played well as usual, and was even able to get his first goal for
the [...]
Charles N'Zogbia's great early season form for Newcastle United has at last been rewarded with a
call-up for the French U21s squad. Charles has been named in the squad for the upcoming qualifiers
for the 2009 European U21 Championships, against Wales in Grenoble on Friday and away to Malta in
Valetta a week on Wednesday. Certainly his [...]
It's always good to read good news about Newcastle United and one piece of very good news recently
has been the form of Charles N'Zogbia. Not only has his form been little short of magical, but he
has recently been selected for the France Under-21 squad and yesterday was given a new and improved
5 [...]
Charles N'Zogbia made his French Under-21 debut last night in a comfortable France win against
Wales in Grenoble. N'Zogbia played the full game and hopefully this will be one of many caps he
will receive with the Under-21 side over the next two years. France were the better side but found
it hard to score until an [...]
