bugger all going on at the moment.
I think it goes to show just how quiet things are when all four of Newsnow's top stories are

Adrian Mutu, after having two appeals against his FIFA fine for breach of contract dismissed by
the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), is now seeking another alternative to paying the 17-plus
million euro fine to his former club, Chelsea.
Now he wants to make a substantial donation to several charities, including one of Chelsea's
choice.
As some of you know, Peter Wilt has been on a guest blogging run at Pitch Invasion, my favorite
site to leech from. At the end of last week, Wilt submitted his report card on the first WPS
season. Those of you who've already read it can probably guess what I'm going to focus on. Overall,
there's a lot of encouraging stuff in his report, although it's clear the league is not yet
profitable for the owners.
Homeless World Cup
The Homeless World Cup is charitable organization that helps homeless soccer
players around the world get back on their feet. Every year they organize a 'World Cup' match
between nations and this year the games were held in Milan, Italy and involved 48 countries.

If you don't already know, The Gooner Review is a DVD made entirely by Arsenal fans with all
profits going to Bob Wilson's Willow foundation.
There is none of the gaudy over-presenting that is so common on TV these days, its an honest DVD
that gives praise and criticism in equal measure whilst also providing a must watch for all Arsenal
fans.

By secret ballot the fans of the Minnesota Thunder can vote for these post season awards.

Around 800 cyclists will take to the road on a specially designed 13-mile course this Sunday (6th)
for the annual 'Southend Bikeathon'.
The event - which is in its fifteenth year - has raised an estimated £750,000 for Leukaeumia
Research. Now its organisers are gunning for the £1m mark.
